If you review the last 25 years or so you will find that the state of Alabama doesn’t lag behind Louisiana for high school football talent.

This. While LSU may have more per capita, it's about equal in overall number with a slight edge to Alabama.

All the way up until that Fine Gentleman in Western Alabama lures them out of the state.

I think a major thing that helped Saban turn Alabama around so quickly was that he had already made major inroads in recruiting SEC country and Louisiana in particular while he was at LSU.

Really embraced the whole state when he was here. Loved getting haircuts in Tangipahoa Parish especially

Hard to argue.

Why do you think Bama has bag men and Charger giveaways?

In fairness, John Curtis has no business being a 2A school. The entire student body is on the football team

Acting like Curtis is a typical 2A is laughable and you know it. They aren’t your neighborhood school getting only local talent. They were basically the IMG of the Gulf Coast before there was one

That 2a school was a private school built for the sole purpose of being a football factory and openly recruited.

It was also a close game outside of 3-4 huge plays by JC. And it wasn't just Joe McKnight, they also had a guy playing safety that was a beast and made plays, and I think he was also the thunder to McKnight's lightning on offense, but they wouldn't have won without that guy to go along with McKnight.

Well it used to be that Georgia did have another SEC team to compete against in recruiting every year. So did LSU. Both Tulane and Ga Tech left the conference years ago. So it used to be a lot more even where each state had about 2 teams from the SEC to compete against in recruiting every year.
