Honestly I think he would have left in the middle of the night for LSU a few years ago, but lane seems to have grown too close to leave Ole Miss for their arch rival now.

Per capita… it’s Louisiana annd then Mississippi and it’s not even close.

Source: made it up

And even if it were true, think how dumb it is. Alaska could produce 1 5* player and be the most talent rich program per capita.

There are not enough children’s hospitals in Louisiana to steal from to pay for Bayou Brian’s payout and Lane’s contract.

This is sadly the correct answer.

Here is an interesting fact. Layla spent her childhood in Gainesville, Florida, where she went to Bucholz High School

All four of my kids went to Buchholz, youngest graduated this year. Good school with a good football program.

Makes sense. Guess that’s why Texas went all in on a top overall 5 star recruit from Louisiana and the top overall recruit this year again is from the boot. Per capita, shear size of the state and concentration of talent. It’s Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi.

Hell, if the Germans didn’t own the IMG academy, Florida probably wouldn’t be very high on the list.

Yes there are great players from every state but that's a very different argument

Florida fans need to be concerned about this possibility. LSU is the best job in the country for multiple reasons: no in-state competition, established brand that resonates with recruits all over the country, unwavering commitment from donors assuming things are going well. If Lane can land the top in-state recruits, he won't face questions about recruiting. No more questions exist about his abilities as a coach. The entire country should be concerned about this being a possibility

Agree. And sorry. Not Germans. The CCP owns the IMG academy. Chinese communist Party out of Hong Kong owns them.

Ask those LSU fans where the $53 Million to pay off Kelly is going to come from. Florida only to pay 20 Million to get rid of Sunbelt Billy. If Auburn launches Reverend Freeze, only cost them the same as UF, about $20 Million.

The Math for LSU is much more of a hurdle.

How LSU can screw up hiring coaches like they do

Unless you’re a Bama fan, I’m pretty sure your school would take three titles since 2000.

Ok that’s great, but Florida has over twice the population as Georgia, over 4x the population of Alabama and Louisiana and 7x the population of Mississippi.

Per capita can be a useful stat in some contexts, but I just don’t see its utility here.

Isn’t being the tops overall, even if it’s by shear amount of players as you say, the point?

Location also doesn't mean shite in 2025. What matters is how much money you can put in their pocket today.

Period.

Location means less these days but at UF Lane would have ATL to Miami and everything in between which includes (Miami, ATL, Jax, Tampa, Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, Palm Bch County, Panhandle, FL, S.Georgia, etc) all within 4 hours for recruiting and mostly within 2 hours.

More time to spend at home and see Knox play at BHS

Cuts his teeth at LSU, tries the NFL, finishes with 5+ Championships with the tide.

He fits better at UF. Idk why I feel this way. Maybe because he seems like a flashy guy which UF has more potential for like when he was at USC

Salty. This says Ole Miss is 35th. Florida 4th.

These are all wild guesses. For example, it has Arkansas listed ahead of us when Arkansas' own AD has come out on multiple occasions and said that they lag way behind Ole Miss in NIL.
