Honestly, I don’t personally know any real Texas fans who are upset about Kiffin at this point. He was aggressively pushing the system for advantage, but backed down in the end. Time for everyone to move on IMO.
I had the LSU vs. Clemson game recorded, and watched it a few days after the actual game. I am impressed with how well Kiffin had LSU playing on both offense and defense, in Kiffin’s very first LSU coached game. LSU played cleanly and with attitude. A total and complete beatdown of Clemson.
So yeah, Kiffin pushed the stodgy SEC establishment, but I’m sure that his aggressive traits overlap with Kiffin’s ability to push opposing football teams. Right out of the stadium, in Clemson’s case.
Much of the griping on this board against LSU appears to be old recycled hate and jealousy from LSU’s long time SEC rivals. Kiffin’s most important job is coaching a successful football team, and his most important bosses are LSU and its football fans.
From what I saw last Saturday, it’s going to be tough for Texas to beat LSU this fall in Death Valley, and it’s likely that LSU will make the CFB tournament at season’s end. I’m tired of the SEC playing second fiddle to the B10, so I like to see SEC coaches building back intimidating football teams.

(2) The Governor of LA, Lane Kiffin, LSU President and AD, took the SEC on directly in the middle of the SEC and other Power 4 conferences trying to replace the anemic NCAA. Someone is going to pay for that.
(3) It should be more than obvious at this point. The rest of us just don't like your arrogant azz.

This whole damn thing should have never happened. If we had gotten a handle on this bullshite years ago we wouldn’t be dealing with it but like everything else in life we have no rules everything is subjective and life has to be fair. Every rule change has always and forever been unfair to the last class that graduated but that’s life. I’m so sick of all this bullshite.

When did I even mention Bama or the claim that refs cheat for Bama? The LSU persecution complex extends far beyond Bama. It’s every week during the SEC schedule. Every single week.

Eh, not really. I don't remember feeling targeted by the SEC before this year. Yes, during games with bama, as I mentioned, it did feel like we would get shafted on any controversial penalties. And yes, there have been some dealings with the SEC that did not go in LSU's favor. But I don't remember feeling this amount of animosity from the SEC, ever.
But yes, LSU fans do feel that LSU is targeted by many, such as ESPN, NCAA, and that there's this deep hatred of LSU by many. I don't know if I fall into that bucket completely, at least before these past couple of weeks. It turns out, all these other SEC schools also share an irrational hatred of LSU, and even their university presidents are willing to forego all logic and reason to kick them out of the SEC. That was a bit shocking to me.

That's a common fan thing, comes from confirmation bias. You see it on any board that is heavily populated by one fanbase.
As for this specific situation, it isn't really debatable that the SEC is treating LSU differently, selective enforcement will be their undoing eventually, just like it was with the NCAA.

Not for Wright and Harris. The were cut off by the SEC interfering in their case against the NCAA and will pursue their pound of flesh from the SEC.

They "took on the SEC" by being named defendants in a federal lawsuit filed very late in the game and expanded after LSU notified them the players would not be rostered until all of this was worked out. It was the SEC that kept turning up the heat, and yeah, there's a good chance the players will make them pay for that.

SEC/BIg10 leadership obviously thinks that 5 for 5 can create some order but only if each member school agrees to discourage players from pushing every possible envelope in court. The schools themselves can do this very simply by not encouraging, recruiting and/or rostering the players doing it.
I'd imagine that some big wig presidents have their panties in a wad that LSU was the only school to push back in abstaining from the final vote etc etc
However, I'm sure the other issue is that they're very intently looking at how the LSU administration will handle things like Will Wade attempting to get RJ Luis eligible in a case that isn't even a 5 For 5 related exception.
