Saban

It’s the old age thing with Saban that keeps him further down on our list.

will any other team out there compete with facilities, recruiting, and coaching salaries?
USCw provided some pretty nice "facilities" to Reggie Bush.

Pete Carrol was one of the highest paid coaches when he was at USCw.

With NIL, I've believed that the private universities in or near large metro areas are going to be much more attractive to recruits opposed to what the smaller college cities can offer. USCw fits that to a T.

Congrats on winning titles years ago.

Honestly, I don’t see Riley making the move. He’s got a good gig at OU. Is it worth moving from could 9 to 10? Expectations are a lot higher at LSU

I think it comes down to the following, in order

Aranda
Campbell
Napier
Stoops

I would take Tom Herman over all of them- Texas was dumb to let him go!

Aranda is a better fit at USC personality wise would be why he would go there. It’s not a slight toward LSU.

I'm hearing they're hoping to steal Bill O'brien from Bama. Getting that Saban tree.

BoB even tried to let his future team get a big win a couple weeks ago. He's all in.

Well, 1980 was a very long time ago and perhaps, you weren't even alive to witness it.

Campbell would be a great hire - I don't think he wants any part of the South and the SEC. On the other hand, if nothing opens up in the B1G perhaps. Did Nebraska hire a replacement yet?

If not it’s Napier

Which I think is a good hire

Napier would be a terrible hire. G5 head coaches haven't panned out at major programs in a while. See: Tom Herman, Mike Norvell, Charlie Strong, Jim McElwain, Butch Jones, Kevin Sumlin, Scott Frost, etc. Basically every single one of those guys did more at their G5 than ULL has. ULL hasn't even won a NY6 or gotten very high in the rankings. He also lost to a bad Texas team in week 1 this year as Texas was breaking in their new staff.

Agreed, my top two choices. I think it is clear that Aranda and Ensminger lead the 2019 team. I think Aranda has done super well at Baylor for his couple of years.

I spoke to some friends at ULALA few weeks back and they said Napier is a Saban clone about attention to details in the enter program. Reminds me of when Bertman would send players to go check and see if the hot chocolate was hot enough at the concession stands during the early season games.

If both say no I think you ask Aranda again

Franklin is probably still in the mix as well if I had to guess.
