However, BAMA vs UT came from Bear always having trouble with UT at UK and then still having a tough time against Neyland at BAMA. So, if things stay this way for a while it could become something of a true rivalry.

It's more that. From the time General Neyland arrived in Knoxville, UT and Bama were easily the premier teams in the Southeast from the mid 20's to the early 50's.

I love hearing other fanbases telling us what is and is not considered a rival...

For me, our RIVALS are Auburn and Tennessee. Thats it. There is no "third team if you had to choose"...Its Auburn and Tennessee, and everyone else is just an opponent.

I am still wait for an honest answer to Alabama's top three most despised football opponents.

Bama fans in denial?

Notre Dame doesn't count, sorry.

Historically its
1)Auburn
2)Tennessee
3)Notre Dame (why can't they count?)

More Recently
1) Auburn
2) Auburn
3) Tennessee

I really don't hate LSU. My direct experiences with a few fans are starting to change that opinion for the worst but right now I'm assuming they were random occurrences. (just some rude comments)

I've heard sports announcers say that LSU/Bama is and will be a very important rivialry in the future.

Are these the same announcers that the LSU minion claim are "Pro-Bama"? Get it straight either you believe what the announcers say or you don't.

Seeing us win 2 BCS titles since your last, getting a ball-gag shoved in your mouth in your "Dome away from Home" and embarrassed in front of the entire country will do that to you. I understand

I think your post says a lot about your personal character and in part the overall sentiment in your fanbase. (at least a few finebaum callers)

Many of you can't handle success...Heck- LSU has defeated the tide 2 years in a row..but that hasn't stopped you from running your mouths as you just did...

You backed into a rematch that you didn't earn on the feild, nor by record or best resume'... be thankful rather than an arrogant meatball

1. Auburn
2. Tennessee
3. Opponent X (SEC opponent)

Okay bammers, you've made your point, but I think you can agree that LSU and the majority of the general public/media considers LSU/Bama are rivalry now. Especially ESPN.

Air time does not equal a rivalry

Were you under a rock from November 5th-January 9th?

9-6 was the verbatim post around here.

The BCS system put us in that rematch. If our presence is illegitimate, the so is LSU's. (this is going to go so far over your head )

I know we are the most attractive girl at the dance, but we can't be everyone's rival. Auburn and Tennessee asked first, and they have devoted a lot of time to making us feel hated, and over that time we have come to hate them equally.

You'll just have to find someone else, I know there aren't a lot of fish in the SEC. But Florida is pretty alluring, and Texas A&M seems to hate you some. Try asking them.

Run along now.

ETA: And there is also Arkansas, sure she's fugly, but she puts out a lot of hate.

Don't you mean BSPN? You homers have done nothing but complain about how "Bama runs ESPN"????

Now that their BS supports your argument they are now a legitimate source?

Media ratings don't make a rivalry. Hell I'm not sure if they put the 2000 Auburn game on TV.

LOL! Spoken like a true immature gump

13-1 and SEC champs > 12-1 2nd place SECW with loss at home.

Beating 8 ranked teams > beating 4 ranked teams

Beating 3 top 3 ranked teams > than beating 1 top team that already beat you on your home field!!!

9-4 the last 13 contest...

Yeah, no rivalry! Quit being disrespectful of LSU

Right, because Bama has had so little of it these past few years.

LSU also just got skull drug in the NC game by Bama after months of LSU fans talking trash. Has it crossed your mind that maybe that's why Bama fans are talking trash now?

Which means absolutely nothing if you don't win the big one.

After the last two games we played, no one outside our fanbases will be excited about the next.
