LSU and GA have to be this years biggest disappointment

Couple of observations
- both teams have elite talent
- both teams have high expectations
- both teams have good but not great coaches
- both teams are going to blame COVID for their less than acceptable seasons
- both teams will have gotten crushed by BAMA

How high were UGA's expectations coming into the season? They will likely finish 8-2, which seems about what many expected them to do. Their only losses are to top 5 teams. LSU lost a lot and under-performed a lot on top of that. It's been a bad season. Everything that could go wrong, did. Not much else to say.

Go look at the preseason prediction thread. our fans generally predicted 9-1 so we're a game worse. Then look at lsu's.

And if you told UGA fans that our QB through the first 6 weeks was Stetson Bennett... our expectations would have been lower than 9-1.
Hell... even with a Jamie Newman or JT Daniels without Jordan Davis this season would have been worse than 9-1.

We had to play at Mizzou at the last minute due to a hurricane. Have you played at Mizzou lately? Hostile AF and look how they pounded Vandy last week. Had to play Miss. State the first game...I mean the air raid, first game...anybody would have given up 50 points. Due to injury, a true Fr. QB started at Auburn.
Just a few things and plays here and there and LSU is undefeated in the playoff hunt. Just a crazy year, I tell you. Last week, we had that TD called back. You take away those 4 games and LSU is undefeated.

Not really all that disappointed given what has happened. If you had told me we'd go 8-2 with a walk-on QB starting half the year and losing our 2 best defensive players for a key stretch of the season I'd have been alright with that.
Most UGA fans are excited about 2021 - a lot of positive things happening offensively for UGA with Daniels, Monken, and our WR core and you know the defense will be pretty good again.
