He never claimed that he spoke to Orgeron about anything dealing with rape.

then why did Orgeron tell him all girlfriends sleep around?

This is actually a good point that more LSU fans should latch onto when defending the Ogre

I mean it's pretty obvious that he's not very detail oriented. Why do you think some of us keep saying that there's no evidence that he knew about any rape allegation?

He may have known or maybe it was hidden from him by the people that screwed up how they handled it so that he wouldn't suspend Guice and expose their failure. This whole situation has been handled so poorly by the LSU administration that there's no telling who knew what and when.

Because he was discussing with Orgeron that he and Guice had an issue because Guice slept with his girlfriend.

Orgeron:
quote:

"The anonymous quote attributed to me by a former player in USA Today is not accurate," Orgeron said. "Out of respect for the young man's privacy, I will not reveal the full details of the conversation. What I will say is that a player came into my office to discuss transferring from our program. We also discussed the player's relationship challenges with his girlfriend. I told him what I would tell my own sons: 'We all experience heartbreak growing up. Do not throw away a promising academic and football career at LSU because of a personal obstacle.'"

not bad

If a Barner started that thread, it would have great potential.

In all seriousness, there is more to the Bama angle here.

In the story below, Sharon Lewis is relaying how Miles perceived the recruiting staff as it existed when he got there (as she said it was his 2nd or 3rd day on the job) in 2005. Meaning he was telling us what he thought of the people Saban allowed to interact with recruits.

When you think about it that way, it puts all these comments from Miles in a whole different light:

I am curious how the current Bama recruiting staff stacks up on the Les Miles scale. I'm sure he's available for consultation.

In all honesty, I doubt Nick has ever meddled in the hiring of the recruiting staff. That seems obvious from what is described above. If Bama is hiring nothing but Hooters girls, it probably has zero to do with Nick.

No clue what thread we should be posting in anymore but Segar is out with her statement:

quote:

Lester Duhé
@LesterDuhe
Attorney for #LSU Sr. Associate AD Miriam Segar, sent letter to Senate Select Committee on Women & Children, slamming how her client was portrayed in Husch Blackwell. “Ms. Segar has zero to hide but will wait for the appropriate time and venue to express her claims and defenses.”

Hmm....

Doesn't look like Segar is going down without a fight. Got her own attorney.

Come on, Aggy bankrolled Jimbeau$$ Knowing full well his handling of certain well known players while he was at FSU. Jameis was suspended for a game. He ran out of the tunnel with the team, IN Uniform. There was ZERO discipline at FSU under Jimbeau$$$ his last 2-3 years.
