3 TDs to 5 INTs... And sacked 7 times. 5 by LaLa tech.

OL is not great. Leavitt seems to panic a little with pressure.

I mean you won’t find many defenders of Leavitt, this week.
He missed far too many wide open receivers and looked afraid to step up in the pocket and make passes, opting to scramble when his first read wasn’t open, instead.
It would be nice to have McNeese State to get right this week, instead of rolling right into an equally desperate A&M.
Leavitt will have to show us he’s worth the money, this weekend, or he’ll start riding the bench.

The OL may not be great but it isn’t as bad as Leavitt made them look to be.
Often times throughout the Ole Miss game, had Leavitt stepped up in the pocket instead of scrambling at first sign of pressure, he had open guys to throw to.

If Leavitt plays just as poorly vs A&M as he did vs Ole Miss, he may not get benched completely, but you will for sure see Clark or Longstreet get more reps in the McNeese game the following week.

You’ve never read me say this. Even if he is, you can teach a kid mechanics and what to look for and how to read a defense. Teaching them mental and emotional reactions is a little bit tougher.

He’s also flatly said “if I see an open lane, I’m taking it”. That mentality is tough to break. It can be done though as JD5 has proven.

Paying them a lot of money to not be great.. Teams are able to get pressure with 4 and 5, Leavitt is not good enough passer. When you bring 6 and 7, is when a qb has to find the open rec, and Leavitt is not doing that.
Green out is going really hurt, he was the only crutch he has.
Also your RBs are not very good picking up pressure...

Eerily similar thing happened at the beginning of last season. LSU had the best win in the country in week 1, and they deserved some first place votes in the polls.
Clemson apparently is really good at getting other fanbases excited early in the season.
