Nope. It's never from SC fans. Missouri match ups have been a lot of fun.

Well let's break it down....

*uscE takes the field... cackling chicken sounds

*offense gains a yard... cackling chicken sounds

*offense needs a play... cackling chicken sounds

*offense makes a big play... cackling chicken sounds w/volume turned up

*defense takes the field... cackling chicken sounds

*defense makes a tackle... cackling chicken sounds

*defense makes a stop... cackling chicken sounds w/volume turned up

*any kick return opportunity... cackling chicken sounds

Get my point. That cackling chicken is the football version of the Vandy whistler.

Of all the stadiums considering size and design, Neyland should keep this title.

Seems like it all gets echoed back in.

The loudest stadium I've ever heard was the old Kyle Field. It was built straight up into the air on both sides, 3 levels high.

Yes, Aggies are loud, but that stadium amplified the hell out of it. 70k people sounded like 200k.

DKR stadium can't contain anything. The west side seating goes back for miles. Fans are not "on top" of the field at DKR.

Loudest is between Neyland, Death Valley, The Swamp and Jordan Hare. I’ve been to both and the Swamp made Kyle Field sound like a library.

Doesn't fricking count.

We're talking about that shitty high school looking stadium your college team has to play in every Saturday.

I remember watching one of your games in a season when you hadn’t won a single game and the stadium was packed. I was shocked and impressed. It doesn’t surprise me you’re up there on that list.

Post 2012 expansion, this is my favorite game.

Mizzou and SC are similar enough in overall program history that the matchups are pretty solid.

I used to love the USC/UTK series, and it was the most competitive by margin of victory for almost 20 years. But the Mizzou/SC game is wild, and it's had some great finishes.

Respect to Zou. Now, go kick Kansas' arse.

That's what happens when your stadium is over 100 years old. You start building off the original structure resulting in nearly vertical walls. The downside is that climbing the stairs in the upper deck is like climbing a ship ladder and you are all sitting on top of each other.

In todays world so what. Teams prepare with speakers turned way way up and are use to noise in environments.

Should Texas say we have the hottest temperature stadiums and brag about it?

I just dont understand using this incomplete data point (without checking any of the backend data) as a way to brag.

I have been to loud stadiums, I have enjoyed lour atmospheres, its cool for the fan experience but there are so many variables into why a stadium atmosphhere is loud that has nothing to do with the actual fans in the stadium. For that such a weird flex but you do you fanbases lol.

Lane Stadium at vt is steep as well.

If they could bowl that place in it would be even louder.

Remember the "my dog's better than your dog" commercial?

This is just a "my fans are better than your fans" dick contest.

These lists are usually shite because there is no standard for how we measure.

Neyland probably has probably had louder sustain than any stadium in the last 5 years. We set the decibel “record” recently but the 2015 Oklahoma game was louder than that UGA game or the 2022 Bama game. Sustained noise is more impressive than some orchestrated event to break a record like they did at Arrowhead stadium.

Then you have programs like UGA putting their decibel reader next to their band during the 2022 UT game to measure the record they set. No one seriously believed UGA or Washington held any sort of record.

TLDR until they implement a standard to measure including sustain/peak/location/etc. these lists are trash. The top 5 should almost always include UT/LSU/Florida/Auburn/TAMU though.
