Losses that hurt you the most

The 5 OT game with Tennessee is the first one that comes to mind. Only because I was there and we blew a fricking 4th and forever.

05 LSU sucked worse than the 05 IB. At home, undefeated, and the SEC West on the line. The 100,000 sacks Alabama gave up to Auburn the next week was just comical. The announcers were embarrassed just watching it.

'08 SECCG. I thought we were destined for the national title when it was announced Harvin wasn't going to play. Credit to UF and Tebow though for that incredible 4th quarter. Definitely one of the best BCS teams ever.

'10 and '13 IB. These sucked donkey balls.

The loss to Clemson doesn't bother me one bit. We won it against them the previous year and it was just an amazing game. From a CFB fan's perspective, it was everything you could ask for in a national title. Would love to play Clemson again though.

Basketball: loss to Creighton. Releford was hacked.

If USC beats UTK, they go to Atlanta. Winner of Carolina/Auburn plays FSU for natty.

Hence, that loss cost him a shot at a national title.

So you think USC would've beaten AU? How cute.

2015 Tennessee. Chubb blew out his knee and that's when I knew our AD was gonna fire Mark Richt and go find Ray Goff 2.0.

For State:

2010 Auburn Leon Berry drops a wide open pass that could have won the game, or at the very least, tie it if he were to fall down right after catching the ball.

2011 Auburn Chris Relf stuffed at the goalline as time expired to tie the game.

2010 Arkansas Losing in 2OT to an extremely talented Arkansas team

2014 Egg Bowl Walton breaking out for a 90 yard TD run on 3rd down was heart breaking.

2009 LSU Dan Mullen suspect playcalling loses the game on the goalline.

in keeping with the SEC theme, this fits.

2003 National Championship - injured going in and still had a chance in the final minutes of the game to tie LSU inside the 15 after consecutive failed pass attempts.

2008 National Championship - even without Demarco Murray, had many chances blown, and was playing with UF for much of the game.

2013 Auburn kept us from making history. I shed no tears but it did break my heart.

This is going to sound weird because it was the one year we actually won the division but 2010 @ UK pissed me off. To beat #1 Bama at home just to go on the road the next week and lose to a UK team that barely made a bowl game has got to be the most Gamecock thing ever.

2006 Auburn. We got absolutely cheated by the crooked refs.

Sounds about right

2004 was one shitty call that happened to determine the outcome of the game. 2006 was a premeditated, systematic screw job from the opening kickoff to the final whistle. Nobody could have beaten Auburn that day no matter how well they played because the refs would simply have stolen it from them.

2001 31-7 at home vs. Bama - Andrew Zow outta nowhere.
Cadillac broke his leg on about the 3rd play of the game. Rammer Jammer was so loud that evening. I also paid $300 for two tickets and it still hurts.

2013 vs FSU - I knew we scored too early and it killed me to watch Winston rip our tired defense and stick the knife in with :13 left By far, none can compare to this one.

I have felt this way after an AU game before. It makes zero logical sense and it isn't true but I have felt this way before.

2006 LSU v. AU YouTube

See the play at the 10:50 mark where the refs take away an interception by LSU by calling PI on a pass thrown well short of the AU receiver.

See the play at the 13:40 mark and watch through 15:00. Threw a PI flag against AU, then picked it up. This one the refs said the deflected ball was uncatchable. On forth down. Denied LSU a scoring opportunity.

The Natty year you had Cam Newton and MSU was leading with not much time on the clock. We went into the good ole "prevent defense" that I've always said only prevents you from winning. Sure enough last drive of game you marched down the field and got the TD to win it. I didn't cry but there were some things in the house I had to replace lol

Corey Broomfield dropped that interception on the Newton swing pass with nothing in front of him. He could have literally ran backwards into the end zone. Hit him right in the hands. Would have been the difference.
