A&M is a notorious frickup type school. They don't ever do anything right and all their ideas seem half baked.

Huh?
What does that even mean?
Not sure if this is a troll, but your comment was lost on me.

Good luck with the search (assuming your coach is out?).

32 NCAA invites, 6 Final Fours spanning 3 different eras, Top 15 All Time win percentage, 1 NC and 1 Runner Up.....Like he said, time and again.

I was leaning towards he gets another year... but the results just haven't been there. If he goes then it isn't the end of the world.

No fan base wanted a coach to win, and win big, then Arkansas fans did with Mike Anderson. He just couldn't get it done.

think you are playing a little loose and fast with “time and again”. Arkansas is living in the past. Prepare to be disappointed in your coaching search.

We've been to 6 Final Fours under 4 different head coaches. Texas A&M has never been to a single Final Four in its history.

Unlike football, basketball doesn't require many players, and the State of Arkansas does put out some good ones, so any recruiting advantage for A&M is small.

Historically, we're 102-56 against A&M, going back to 1924, so good luck bucking history.

Don't take this the wrong way or anything, but A&M has always been its own worst enemy. There is no excuse for a program like Aggy to not have multiple Natty's across all sports. Money, recruiting base, prestige, etc. Yet despite these things, Aggy hires Jimbo Fisher for record money. The man is a drunk and his entire life is obviously a complete disaster. It may be the worst coaching hire in history by the time it's all said and done.

It's like the admins there latched onto one thing, "Jimbo has won a natty." And literally threw a fricking bank at him with no other vetting for the position whatsoever.

Aggies gonna Aggy.

Now I know you’re trolling.
Again, best of luck.
Arkansas with a crappy hoops program just doesn’t seem right.

There are no inherent advantages with college basketball, unlike college football. This is why small schools have the ability to become national powers, which is something that's rarely seen in college football. All that's needed for college basketball success is the will to create a successful program, which we obviously have not had over the last 2 decades, but anyone can do it.

Under Eddie Sutton, many of our players were from Chicago and NYC. In contrast, Nolan recruited most of his from areas around Arkansas, which also puts out some decent talent itself.

I have a feeling there may be quite a few coaches looking for new homes before the NCAA gets ahold of their current program.

They are already involved with Pastner's program. Not him, though.

Arkansas still has better fan support and facilities than nearly every team in the SEC. That hasn’t changed. The infrastructure is there in basketball.

It doesn’t hurt the state is surrounded by east Texas, Tulsa, Kansas City and Memphis for talent either. Plus Arkansas produces better basketball players than football players. It’s not as good of a footprint as A&M but it should be much easier to recruit to Arkansas in basketball than football with a decent coach
