someone said that the law doesn't taken into account predetermined sites.

That was predetermined years in advance.

I question the wisdom and appropriatness of prohibiting representatives of a state from engaging in otherwise lawful interaction or other economic activity in another, "deplorable", state.

Kind of like how the SEC used to not allow black players on the same field as white players. That's how the Rose Bowl ended up with the B10 and P8/10/w/e champions. In order to play in the Sugar/Orange/Cotton, non-southern teams couldn't dress out their black players.

That's incorrect. The law doesn't prohibit travel for something that was already contracted before the law went into effect.

What I'm about to post has absolutely nothing to do with my political stance but....

...This is just more proof that the NCAA is fricking garbage. Teams should be seeded based off of baseball. If you don't want to travel somewhere because of a political stance...then tough shite there's a team getting left out that would gladly go.

Having a bias based upon a team having a larger stadium thus bringing the NCAA more money at least makes sense.

It's not an issue of when the venue was selected; it's whether the state agency had already contracted to travel there. Bottom line is that if a California university team wants to travel to a state on the list, it can. In fact, they have.

I just don't understand all the hand-wringing.

So this was just the NCAA trying to be the good guy?

The fact is that California's law has exceptions written into it. E.g., UCLA sent its team to the Sweet 16 in Memphis last year despite the fact that TN is on the list.

So the NCAA is allowing CA to pick and choose where it wants its athletes to go and when.

From a procedural standpoint, I have zero problem with CA making this decision, provided they’re willing to withdraw from the NCAA.
The state of Texas chose not to participate in fedgov’s Common Core Curriculum initiative, for example; consequently, we didn’t receive the monster monetary payouts that other states received.
That was our choice.

And this is California’s.
But their decision appears to have affected other states’ programs, and that’s not right.
Play by the rules or create your own collegiate athletics governing board and get out of the NCAA.

How does CA and WA law effect LSU being sent to Oregon?

Didn't UCLA send their basketball team to China just this past year? (One of the Ball kids got popped for shoplifting, if I recall.) So UCLA will send their students to a country whose government committed the Tienanmen Square atrocity but Mississippi is morally outside the pale??? GTFO with this virtue signalling nonsense.

If they can't play at the host sites, then they forfeit.

All I'm saying is that the OP's premise --that LSU got sent to Corvallis because of some supposed travel ban-- is stupid. In fact it's counter-logical. If all the Cal and Wa teams were in fact prohibited from going to regionals in the south, that would open up more slots --not fewer-- for LSU closer to home.

Think about it.

I'm glad Jeremy Hill isn't at LSU and on the baseball team this year. What a relief. On the other hand maybe he and Luke Heimlich could have went out looking for fun after the game. Dont get sucker punched in the back of the head guys !

This is what you do... Using your Pinky and thumb, slightly thrust in an upwards motion. You can get the same satisfaction as the vagina. If your Pinky and thumb are too big, well, you are screwed. Use penile enhancement

Sure. But since there is no way to differentiate between a transgender person and a perv, they need to go to the bathroom that applies to their anatomy.

By that logic
There’s no way to differentiate between the priest that will diddle your kids and the ones that won’t. All priests should be outlawed.

And you would want this guy going to the bathroom with your wife and daughter?
