Yes, Manfred made a rule that permanent bans expire after the death of the person with a permanent ban

Rose didnt have a permanent ban, he had a lifetime ban and Manfred said the lifetime ban ends upon the death of the banned, which makes total sense.

How the NCAA thinks it can tell a public university who they can hire is insanity. Talk about overreach of power.

I don't know. If someone shows they will continue cheating and flaunting the rules, then lie and cover up their transgressions I can see where the NCAA might have the right to ban a coach. If he had come clean and admitted what he did, they probably would have given him a harsh penalty, but not banned him from football for the last few years.

Yes. After his death. So, are you saying that they should remove restrictions on Pruitt after his death?

For the record, I met Pete Rose with my young son many years agao at an autograph show. He talked to my son for 10 or so minutes and was very kind to him.

The NCAA should have no control over who a university hires and fires.

The NCAA has no business telling an individual what he can do with his money.

If a car dealer owner wants to give a college student 10k why does the NCAA have control over the dealer owner?

Went to the same school as Pruitt. Only memory is of them losing the State Championship in football. It was before they starting playing in Bham. They weren't too friendly. "They" spit on the bus windows when the team arrived

Bring Pruitt back to 'Bama.

That is up to our coach.

He was a good defensive coordinator but the head coach has to know and trust his guys.

Pruitt should just be glad he can coach again.

Convince me that Tennessee was not at least a passive
partner in Pruitt's multiple , uhh , indiscretions , or at
best , the dumbest bunch this side of Stupid Mountain.
When the NCAA came calling , UT immediately claimed
it was "repeatedly deceived" by Pruitt , as if they or
Fatimous Fulmer were clueless
as to the source of the foul air under their nose.

The NCAA has rules and they are, whether people like it or not the ruling authority, so people have to go by their rules. Pruitt didn't just break the rules, he shattered them. Any team can do whatever they wish with their money...but Pruitt just cannot coach in an NCAA sponsored event. I can assure you the NCAA, MLB,NBA and every other professional sports organization can and do this very same thing. They will protect the product that is making them money.

I would HOPE there's Redneck Energy Detected. I smell Candyass from the alleged machine.

Where there's Candyass, Vonner's around.

Pruitt got a raw deal from NCAA. He deserves full reinstatement.
