From what I read, his buyout is only 5 million and goes down to 4 million after 5 December.
Brohm would be a fantastic hire. Great coach, well liked and respected by everyone. Haven't seen anything negative about him.
Please Tennessee, make this happen. I don't even consider this 'settling'.
Purdue won 9 games in 4 years. In his first year, he's won 6.
Also, if he leaves, expect Rumlin to go to his alma mater.

Brohm is a solid coach. Tough, no nonsense type of guy. Meat and potatoes instead of flash. Basically the opposite of Jones which should make UT fans happy.
The one thing I would be concerned about is his recruiting ceiling, but he does seem like a guy that can do more with less. He's going to need some patience.
All in all, after this epic debacle it could have been ALOT worse.

Brohm would be a good choice. He's a tough SOB and at the very least he would bring discipline. His teams are always fundamentally sound and execute well.

Concerning his recruiting - Purdue currently has the highest class they've had since 2005 according to 247. Additionally, he's got commitments from ALL OVER the nation, including several in GA and FL.
MY concern is that he might jump ship if Louisville opens.

If it is Brohm, UT backed into a good hire IMO

Tennessee is in a position they will have to overpay, no matter who they get to come there.

If he could be successful at Tennessee, why in the world would he ever go to Louisville? I know it's his alma mater, but it would be a significant step down. And there's no way Louisville would pay him more than Tennessee would pay him. He succeeds at Tennessee, then he basically becomes unreachable for Louisville.

Louisville is a far better program than Tennessee is why
You realize they just went 0-8 in conference right?
They are a bottom feeder school

Brohm is 6-6. Terrible hire.

Why would he leave Purdue now when Petrino might leave at anytime?

Source tells me Breesus, is going to make him an offer he can’t refuse. He’s got the cash to do it.

But what's his record against ranked opponents?

The students didn’t lobby for him by writing his name on that rock tho? Also, does clay Travis approve?

Listening to a Brohm interview on the radio, he said if he had the choice, he'd throw it every down. When the guy interviewing him asked him a few minutes later if he was serious, he said yes. Later in the interview he was asked what Purdue could do to beat Michigan (the upcoming game) and among a few other points he said they will need to control the ball.
