Looks like Aggies losses are minimal.

Loss against a rival at away game. Loss against a national champion. Or worst case national champion runner up.
Yes. Roller coasters and all that.
But those that are objectively looking at the Aggies season know we just got a shitty draw against an awesome team.
Still Miami would have eventually beaten us just like Ole Miss. In the end it didn’t matter that Ole Miss took our place. It just happened earlier than we deserved.
Anyway. Our season was acceptable for a a second year coach.
How’s the portal going for yall?

You lost the only 2 games that mattered and scored 3 points as a home favorite in the self proclaimed hardest place to play. Don’t try and downplay it

You played virtually no one all season and lost to the only quality teams you faced outside of ND. It was a product of your schedule

Your season was acceptable by most any standard. All you can ask for as a fan is to have a shot. You had a shot. Missed badly. But still had a shot.

17-5. Elko has two post season losses. One to USC in his first year and one to a Miami team. He has two losses to the Longhorns. Texas is a good team as much as it hurts to say that. And a four overtime loss to Auburn.
He’s won 17 and lost five. This season lost two.
Doesn’t sound like an 8-4 team anymore. Maybe not quite yet top of the league but they will continue to win a lot of games.

When has Aggie ever been #1 preseason or post season? Texas failed to live up to expectations this year. However, there mere fact that there were even expectations to begin with should tell you something. Aggies could have Tom Brady at QB and the Steelers 1970’s Steel Curtain defense and no one would pick them above a Top 5 team for any reason other than a joke. They blame it on media hype for Texas without acknowledging that they fumble every time it’s all on the line. They are the boy that cried wolf with creepy Yell Leaders that they spend midnights with. Kyle Field doesn’t seem to have an affect on the good teams that play there. You’re a legend in your own mind.
