It was a dick move by Pruitt. But Thompson's a dick himself. So, I guess it's a wash.

Yeah, I'd have to see the texts before I believe that whatever Lance Thompson did qualified as 'begging.' On the Internet, people really, really like to make everything sound worse (or better) than it really is. My guess is that the guy just asked Pruitt about the opening and hinted he might be a good fit.
In any event, I've yet to hear a single positive thing about Pruitt as a person, so if Lance Thompson is a scumbag as some here suggest (I have no idea) then he'd be going to the right staff. Boom may have emotional issues but nobody seems to think he's a scumbag.
Edit: Just to be clear, I'm not trolling UT. I never saw any reason to think Butch was a bad person, for instance. But even most of the Bama people I spoke with disliked Pruitt even as he was coaching for them.

Had you but asked, I'd have told you I thought Butch was a bad coach. Just not a bad person. A pretty good recruiter but had no idea how to effectively use that talent once it got on campus. Sure I wanted him to stay. But I absolutely think UT was right to fire him. Does that help or do I need to kiss your boo-boos away too?

Lance Romance is mercenary as frick ... and in all likelihood he is gone after this season one way or another.
Kept hoping we would bring Brad Lawing back to step in once he runs off.
No doubt this will play in Belk's transfer options as well ... but I doubt it will be enough, hopefully.

I can see how you would like this, but it is a bitch move and if I'm a recruit I would hold that against Pruitt before I would Lance.
