LAS VEGAS (AP) — A massive anonymous wager of $750,000 on the Ole Miss Rebels moneyline hit the Caesars Sportsbook counter at Caesars Palace late Wednesday afternoon, sources told the Associated Press. The bet, placed on Ole Miss to upset the Miami Hurricanes outright in tonight's College Football Playoff semifinal at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl, would pay out approximately $1,035,000 at the current +138 moneyline odds (risk $750,000 to win $1,035,000 for a total return of $1,785,000).The sharp money on the underdog Rebels comes as public betting has leaned slightly toward Miami (-3.5), but insiders say this seven-figure play could force minor line movement in the hours before kickoff.Caesars trading manager Joey Feazel declined to comment on specific bets but noted increased sharp action on Ole Miss moneyline tickets ahead of the 7:30 p.m. ET showdown in Glendale, Arizona. The wager marks one of the largest reported single bets on a college football playoff game this season.

The math is correct. A $750,000 wager would pay $1,785,000, or a gain of $1,035,000.
