So what? You might have missed my point, or are just oblivious to the wider CFB fan perceptions. My point was if that name stings. you need to change the perception dialogue…

That is far easier to accomplish with outside CFB fans by renaming Texas. It is harder (or impossible) to flip the moniker.. and attempts to do it are yawn inducing and far too obvious.

But go ahead, be my guest and act like a “little brother” by sticking your tongue out and wiggling your ears. I don’t really GAS.

Most Texas businesses tell the employees that their about to fire that they are doing it so that they can be more like aggy. It’s one if their best accomplishments.

Yes they were originally going to be part of the same system in the original Constitution but they quickly changed that to going with 2 Flagships. A&M was never part of UT after Austin opened in 1883 (A&M had opened in 1876). Essentially the original Constitution was focused on having them use the Morrill Land Grant Act to open 2 Universities and they granted a bunch of land to do it.

It's also not like Texas is much harder to get in to than A&M. It's literally Top 10 percent vs Top 6 percent for auto admit to both schools. Holistic admission is very similar. If you are trying to go Engineering or Business at either A&M or Texas it is very tough, if you are going Liberal Arts or Agriculture it's a lot easier.

Texas is a great school but so is A&M. We also have a larger Research spend than you do and it isn't really close ($900 million to $650 million).

The part about cutting staff then firing Hermsn with $25M payoff shortly after is such bad optics.

And hiring a coach for $32mm that is a binge away from being a laying in the ditch drunk. Hope it doesn't happen but that was a risky move. And he won't be much better than Herman -less creepy, but about the same results.

So you agree? The "older" argument (which is already sad considering it's 7 years of two institutions almost 150 years old lol) is just a lame duck argument.

Texas acceptance rate: 38.5%

Texas a&m acceptance rate: 57.8%

The same could be said in reverse. Those assholes ridiculed us for the last 10 years about jumping ship to the SEC, and guess who FINALLY decided Aggy made a smart move?

Then, they come over here trying to run smack on us. Who is the "little brother" in this scenario?

It really is, especially when you consider that Fredo was the big brother to Michael. And I don't care if we emulate Al Qaeda if it means we start trimming the dead weight out of our athletic department. There are people in there from the Dodds era dug in like parasites.

Fitting since you had a member of the PLO, a LITERAL TERRORIST, as your commencement speaker not too long ago.

Lookie here roust-about: you have earned your SEC stripes. All of us think you are weird but you are OUR weird, not Texas’ whipping boy anymore. You have SEC seniority, act like it.

Texas ain’t shite in the SEC… quit acting like an abused child…which is what y’all were before you came to us. Act like you were there first, because you were.

Attempting to argue and rationalize “little brother” is a little brother thing to do…AND EVERYONE IS TRYING TO TELL YOU THAT.

Thanks for the advice. We've been bitching about the bloat for as long as I can remember.

Texas A&M. Has literally never done anything with anybody.

Looks like every single fanbase on this site, and quite frankly in America, has recognized it. We been trying to tell you.

aggy/mizz posters always talkin about this being an SEC board and to not bring up UT or OU.

yet aggy/mizz brings Ou/tex up more than a bitter ex-gf on facebook.

why don't all four programs go create the new big12, and the original 1992 twelve team SEC continue to be the best conference in history.
