Honest question, does Dabo refuse to sign more transfers or is it a Clemson money issue?
What’s Dabo’s buyout?

Jim, does Clemson have the coin to fire him after this season?

You have to come up with the money if you’re Clemson. It’s the same spot LSU was in last year.
57 million is a big hit but the damage that will be done if you don’t make the move will cost Clemson for a decade.

It’s going to take $100 million to get rid of Dabo, hire a new staff and fund NIL to compete. You have to do all 3 or you might as well keep him.

Clemson is finding themselves in the same place Fla. State ended up in with regards to letting Bobby Bowden go....finally.

Before you fire Dabo they should demand that he makes changes and only fire him if he refuses. I don't dislike Dabo, I think he is a good man. He also is a bitch. That whole "Stay in our Lane comment" was stupid and it definitely cost him.

There are still kids that want to play for a national powerhouse. The problem Clemson has is the last time they won a National championship (2018) all these high school seniors were in 4th grade and have no real memory.

And both schools are there at the same time they’re trying to position themselves to leave the ACC.
Their inability to currently compete for championships and their need to allocate resources towards a coaching change rather than a conference buyout could lead to major negative consequences as to where they can and can’t land.

It's much worse than that. It's 80 million alone to get rid of the staff. Then 40 to 50 million to build a team and 20 to 30 to get a new staff. Clempson has spent their money on new buildings and the cost to run their athletic department has skyrocketed. Their outside donations are down millions and is going to get worse. The acc gives out 20 to 30 million less than the SEC and big ten. Dabo isn't going anywhere and the tators don't have the bank account to keep up...it's only going to get worse.

But Dabo is a big Christian who cares about the players and the school. Surely he will agree him leaving is the best for both and take a pittance for a buyout.
