How many wins does your team have without your guy on the list. I will say:
Bama - 12
Auburn - 7
Texas A&M - 9
Florida - 8 or 9
Georgia - 10 or 11
LSU - 8

Some teams have better depth at those positions. Others have nobody who can match that talent.

Dylan Moses was our guy on this list last year too

We'd be better prepared to handle it this year, I think, due to better depth and experience.

I agree. Moses is an absolute monster, but the depth looks better IMO too.

For LSU, they said it was a no-doubter, but I thought it was going to be Jamarr Chase instead of DSJr.

Pitts may be the difference in one of the two big games. His back up was the number 2 TE out of high school as well though. Not sure it would cost more than one win. He is the best TE in CFB, so he def helps though. We would just adjust how we operate and run more 4 wide sets. It would cost us probably 2-4 ppg this season probably if he got injured early on.

I think salyer or Pickens would have a bigger impact on our record.

If any team loses their starting QB, they can lose 3-6 games this year.

I disagree here. A&M was without Ausbon for 5 games in the 2018 season. They went 3-2 in those games. He has been the most consistent pass catcher for A&M since Christian Kirk left and that INCLUDES Jace Sternberger and Jalen Wydermyer.

Mond without Ausbon was even more mediocre than he already is.

Ausbon without Mond is probably a 1,000 yard receiver.

There's a difference between most talented and most indispensable

Mac Jones might not be the most talented, but he might be the most indispensable because Bama has retooled itself with elite WRs where it takes a good QB to max out the potential of the Offense

The incoming guy might be a 5* but there's no guarantee that a true Fr can get Bama to the CFB Playoff

This is irrelevant when the article is titled “The most indispensable non-QBs in college football for 2020”

Based upon our lack of playmaking at WR last season, Pickens should be weighted heavier as the most indispensable player.

Salyer will play an important role on the team, but we could fill a line with Jones, Shaffer, Hill, Webb, and Cleveland if we needed to (Truss started the bowl game and did great if you dont think Jones can contribute early).

I think senior leadership is undervalued by fans. And Lecounte will bring that. I just think we could survive with Cine, Smith, and Poole at S if we needed to.

The title of the thread doesn't mention non QBs, I merely used the thread Title

Great point. Either of those guys would be a big blow.

That's a good point but you think there are losses beyond three on the schedule without him?

Miss, Miss St., Arky, and South Carolina?

I just don't see those teams coming out with a W even without Ausbon. Not downplaying his importance, just think those teams are going to have rough seasons.

It's got to be Pickens.

With Blaylock coming off injury, no other top tier playmakers on the outside with experience, and and an offense that focuses on downfield passing a true #1 receiver is vital.

KJ Costello. I’d say Kylin Hill, but the RB position doesn’t carry as much weight in the Air Raid.

Can easily say I'd never heard of A&M's WR on that list...

I don’t think we have anyone close to as capable as salyer to play LT. Truss has not started a game before, and is less talented. I also wouldn’t want a true freshman at LT.

Which is an indictment on Mond. Ausbon is a modern-day Dan Beebe.

I'd challenge Stingley as LSU's "most indispensable player".

Flott can cover most of the SEC's WRs fine, and Ricks is supposed to be another freshman phenom. And Vincent's there in a pinch. Alabama's the only opponent with enough elite WRs that would make that a huge issue, and objectively, we could still lose that game with Stingley on the field.

What we NEED is an upright QB with time to throw, so I'd say whoever our best OT is.
