What say you Aggies? Three years into your current coaching regime, are you still happy with Jimbo?

I am sure you would say the same thing for your HC Orgeron.
Fisher still need more time to get everything together to make it work. Orgeron didn't need a lot of time to get it done since LSU was already in pretty good shape when he took over the HC after Les Miles firing.

What would LSU fans say the same? He asked a simple question

My A&M Buddies are just about done. They hope he can do it, but they don’t believe.

This has absolutely zero to do with OP’s question.

We are two years in FWIW

My usually chirpy ag family members have been dead silent since 50-7. Saw a few at Mardi Gras and I was told talking college football was not on the agenda for the weekend.

quote:total bs and pretty stupid. If it was in such good shape, why was Les fired for sucking? We had no qb, both lines sucked, no direction, and a horrible AD. No, LSU was not in good shape. On top of that, LSU lost out on some big time recruits specifically bc Les was fired, adding to the challenge.

Yep and do you think Texas A&M wants give an answer to an LSU fan?

1. Seemed like a legit question
2. Why don’t you let the A&M fan figure it out. I don’t think they need Mizzou to knight for them

From my conversations with them, Jimbo is the least of their worries right now.
This Sul Ross statue debate has torn that university apart. Unlike other schools, they are big on their traditions to the point of obsession.
They are pretty much screwed either way. My guess is that the university will eventually fold and remove the statue. But they will take a massive alumni support and donation hit because of it.
I imagine Aggies are secretly hoping the season is cancelled. I dont blame them as this season will be an absolute shitshow regardless of the decision.

Oh, for Christ's sake. Les was fired coming off a 9–3 season (10 if not for a canceled game) and Orgeron finished with 9 as soon as he took over. You LSU fans are spoiled and haven't felt true despair in decades. Orgeron took over a 100% readymade job with strong support and an infallible recruiting area. There's nothing wrong with admitting that, it's a testament to the strength of your program. You're like a middle class white kid trying to pretend like he's from the hood.
Les was fired because he stagnated. Not because he sucked.

Last year’s offense forever tarnished Les’ tenure. The talent upgrade at multiple positions going forward will make it obvious to all. Glad he’s gone. Seems like every win of Les’ was a nail biter.

It seems a bit much to say this is a make or break season for Jimbo... but if A&M is going to step up this would be the year to do it. 4 or 5 of their games will be against teams breaking in new coaches who didn't get the benefit of Spring football. Their OOC schedule is very forgiving. If the Aggies don't win at least 10 games and compete for the West this year its hard to imagine they ever will under Jimbo.
