If you pull only 1 upset, wish you would have saved it for Clemson , but maybe y’all can kill both of your biggest rivalries in 1 year? Now that would make a statement and put your recruiting into launch. Do all of us a favor and frick up Clemson. Good luck

Could this win symbolize a turn in fortune for a program
No.
A great win, for sure.
Think of it like when Curley Hallman got pigs to fly over Tuscaloosa.
Muschamp is still Muschamp.
Enjoy your big win but don't get your hopes up for the near future.

I mean you’re pretty much a .500
program with Muschamp so par for the course.

6-6 with a realistic shot at eight wins. a&m isn’t that good, and i think the florida game will be within a score either way late. appalachian state is a scary team though

I hope so but the kid needed help just standing. He’s a fighter though. What’s the status on the WR that went down on the same play that Helinski was hurt?

Does your (Mizzou) post-season ban also apply to the SEC Championship Game? Wasn.t sure about that.

If LSU is good enough to get past Bama, maybe y’all will get the chance to try your luck yourselves.

Yes, but, you know, it's on appeal

Still have a decent chance to play in the SEC Championship game. SC wins its remaining 4 games, which are all winnable. Florida beats Georgia, then SC wins the East. Mizzou, as of now, can't play in the SEC Championship Game.

Really, if anybody beats Georgia, not just Florida, then......

Fun! Then Tranny Roger Waters can see what a real QB looks like.

I’m sure TL is nervous about the potential prospect of dealing with your terrifying defense.

Could Mizzou be considered Eastern division champs, but not play in the SECCG? Interesting question.

The USC-UGA rivalry is bigger than UGA fans would like to admit, because frankly UGA fans would like to think of themselves as being more relevant than they actually are. This win Saturday means UGA is 5-5 against USC over the last 10 years, and 7-6 over the last 13 years. We've been pretty much eyeball to eyeball for some time now.
UGA probably made a substantial motion to the SEC Conference Offices to start scheduling games with USC later in the season, because they felt they needed more time to prepare for such a competitive opponent than just the 2nd-3rd game of the season.
Both programs are close to each other and compete for recruiting talent every cycle, so the teams often have players on them that competed against each other in high school if not earlier, and they usually are pretty familiar with each other. Therefore, beating each team means a little extra for many of the players on each roster. Also, a lot of fans live and work amongst each other, so there is a more social rivalry there as well.
It could certainly be a catalyst for fortune for the Gamecock program, as long as it translates into more success. It certainly helps Will Muschamp, who was struggling to earn big wins versus ranked opponents. A win against the #3 ranked opponent on their home field is a great start.
But we also suffered a price in the win, if Hilinski cannot play anymore this season, and our offense is diminished as a result. We're still trying to earn a bowl bid during this formidable season schedule, and we're only halfway there....

Probably means very little in the grand scheme of things for SC.
It actually is the highest-ranked opponent USC has ever beaten in an away game. That's like saying that the 2010 win over Alabama - the first ever win against a then-ranked #1 opponent - means very little, and Gamecock Nation doesn't agree with that....

Don’t do this to yourselves. Enjoy the win.
I would enjoy seeing y’all be relevant again and challenging Clemson. Don’t think the horses are there yet unless y’all are +3 on turnovers that game.
