It has some really nice parts but yes overall it's a shite hole. I still like Knoxville though.

Millions of people come to bourbon street every year and 8/10 LA natives hate the French quarter the same way you are bashing the smoky Mts tourist spots

I think it's a great trip for a football game, but not much outside of that.

That's the only reason most fans would go to almost all SEC towns. If they're not an alum of a school, they're visiting an SEC town for an SEC sporting event.

Nashville might be the only place in the conference you visit and not go to an SEC sporting event.

Always had a good time in Knoxville, sure the stadium sucks, but a good time none the less.

That is the same reason I didn't go to Burbon Street when I went to New Orleans over the Holidays. I couldn't imagine wasting time on that trash, when there is a city with such amazing history and unique culture. Using a little poetic license from Forest Gump...trashy is as trashy does.

I would agree with this. Lots of beauty around, but the campus is pretty meh.

You have a point but there’s definitely a way to do both. You see that other cool unique stuff during the day then get bourbon faced on shite street at night.. just turn around once you see the rainbows. Trust me

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are the only decent places in that State.

I agree...but, in this case New Orleans is the destination and Bourbon Street is a stop along the way. If Bourbon Street (or Pigeon Forge) is your vacation destination, you just might be trashy

The stadium is a dump. I agree with that. I like the area though. It's beautiful in the fall.

Imagine being this retarded.

I guarantee you my little section of the Tri-Cities shits on your entire state.

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge? Sure. But don't lump the Smokies and the Blue Ridge in together with them.
