You need one of those gigantic African bigs that FSU always seems to get

Took a look at their roster earlier and they’ve got 8(!!!) guys that are 6’8” or taller, I don’t get how that’s possible. Surely there’s got to be a giant somewhere in Florida that Leonard will let Mike take

Gotta be honest, I didn’t read all that either. My thoughts on him, is that he’s an average coach at a great basketball school. Obviously he’s not Billy Donovan, I think UF could do better imo. He’s an average coach with a great athletic/basketball school to work with. Y’all could get a better coach, because Florida is in the 2nd teir as far as colllege basketball programs go, and outside of Duke, UNC, and Kentucky, y’all should have the best coaching base on the b-ball/athletic program in general.

We'd probably have 4-5 more wins against some great competition if our senior scorers (Jalen Hudson and Kevaughn Allen) didn't decide to take half the games off.

As odd as it is, I think the backcourt will be better next year without those two.

You summed it up nicely. I like White, I also don’t expect him to be Billy Donovan. There are a significant portion of Gator fans that will accept nothing less than Billy Donovan.

Let's be real here, while there were a # of "Gator Fans" that wanted Mike White fired. Most of them don't know crap about hoops or realize what kind of shitty luck MW has had with his bigs or realize what type of class he has coming in. In other words, these fans are idiots and CMW was never in any danger from these Mensas.

Mike White is going to make the NCAAs three years in a row and he's already made a great 8.
Plus he's going to have something really special next year, especially if UF can somehow get a capable big.

All I know is, there was a time (before all the winning) that Gator fans wanted Billy Donovan fired. Impossible to believe, but I was there. His job was on the ropes.

Give White time.

White and the Gators whipped our arse in Coleman. I think White is solid. We’d trade Avery for him in a heartbeat. So White isn’t Donovan. Who is? There’s a reason he’s in the NBA now. I’m not saying settle, but temper your expectations a little. If White has another mediocre season next year, then you can bitch. But he’s got y’all safely in the tournament and playing good ball right now. It could be worse. You could have a coach that collapsed every Feb-Mar that has a .250 win percentage in the last 5 games every season.

One correction, it is a small vocal group of “negagators” that want him gone. Groups like this are a long standing cancer at UF.

Billy's 1st 2 years in the SEC, he was 5-11 and 6-10 in SEC play. You can imagine what what the fire Mike White types would have been saying.

What does tRant think about Mike White?

A good coach goes out and gets assistants to compensate for their deficiencies.

He desperately needs to get someone who can coach offense. Even with a serviceable offense, Florida would’ve been one of the top teams in the conference with that defense. He’s a great defensive coach. IMO he needs to do that in the off season.

Agreed about Hudson but we'll miss Kevaughn.

And totally agree about needing a grad transfer big. Stokes even if he gets in prime shape won't be much of a defensive presence. I like Payne but relying on a freshman big isn't fun. Our offense is going to be loaded next season but definitely need someone who can protect the paint.

Kevaughn's FTs have saved UF multiple times in his career.

His problem is that hes not assertive enough on offense and he disappears in multiple games.

Some of that might be attributed to him being "too unselfish", like last year when he deferred to Hudson and Egor wayyyyy too much.
