LSU should be preseason #1. Alabama should be favored in every game except LSU. GA has a very favorable schedule and strong group of returning starters.

USC will start in top 5 and will likely stay there since only real competetion will be Oregon.

of course LSU will be up there probably at #1. UGA has an absolute cakewalk to Atlanta next year.

seems to me bama should be damn good again next year as you will probably be better at qb and wr. your running game and defense is always good. and how about arkansas? georgia? i think there will be an improved SEC, top to bottom next year.

I bet LSU is there and the south is better than California in every way.

I'm looking forward to being in the SEC next year. It will be rough, but as Coach Sumlin said "If you're scared of that, get a dog".

LSU may be the top team next year but I think losing Morris Claiborne will be huge. HB7 was voted best defensive player in ESPY's but MC is really your best defensive player.

Mett hasn't played a down yet but he has to be better than JJ/JL.

Bama will be better than most think and for all of you LSU fans that are banking the Bama game in BR as a win you may want to re-figure after Jan9.

Tharold Simon steps right in. He might not have Claiborne's hands, but there's not a lot of dropoff. Best tackler on the team.

The correct answer is Southern Cal.

They have one decent OOC opponent, ND.

also, Hawaii and Syracuse.

the rest are conference opponents,
only Oregon is going to be worth talking about.

so they have to get by Oregon and ND

(and Cal and Stanford which will be good but not great, akin to MSU or Aubie).

Looks like they can EASILY go undefeated. Barkeley is coming back. Oregon is the only team with balls and talent on the schedule. ND has the talent but is also the team most likely to throw a pick 6 or fumble on the other team's 5. Maybe they got it out of their system this year. Amazing knucklehead-ism.

Have you guys learned nothing about CFB? OkSt lost to ISU and OU lost to TT this year. And you're trying to predict next year as if it's already happened? And for you arrogant LSU fans. Last year you should have lost to UT and the year before to Troy. AU could have lost 5 games in 2010 and we were 1 FG away from losing to UT in 09'.

This BS isn't even as good as the preseason polls and we all know what that's good for. Nothing.

I thought we were talking about who outside the SEC? In the SEC everyone of LSU, Bama, Arkansas, UGA, and USCe have a shot.

This. LSU and Bama will live in the Top 5 all season, UGA might live in the top 10 all season, and Arky and USCe could be in the same boat, depends on their pre season ranking.

How so? Because they prevented LSU from scoring game winning TD when they had 14 players on the field (yet couldn't when there was 11)?

No way USCe is that high to start. Top 10 probably, but not top 5. I'd say it's

LSU
USC
some combination of Bama, Oregon, and Michigan to round out preseason top 5

Like this year, I think there will be a big gap between those top 2 and everyone else barring any major injuries. Both could run the table to Miami
