Since corndogs want to go ahead and kick off game-week talk 2 weeks early (clearly in hopes of derailing Bama's real rivalry game with UT), let's have a look back at what we've witnessed the past 8 years.

2007 - The Beginning
Saban's worst Bama team by far took the eventual 2-loss BCS champs to the wire behind inspired play from obviously overmatched personnel.
(Personal note: This was the last game my father and I would watch. We got to enjoy this shootout together from his hospital room. He passed just 3 days later.)

2008 - Call me if you won the west today!
Some freshmen from Saban's all world recruiting class showed up big in Death Valley, and JPW hit Julio - who beat a notably talented corner - in overtime to give saban's boys - and eventual SECw champs - a chance for JPW to sneak it over for the win.

2009 - The REC paid the refs!!!!
Saban's first SEC & BCS championship winning team tool down the Bayou Bengals in front of a rocking Bryant-Denny Stadium. Despite gaining only 9 offensive yards in the 4th quarter, LSU fans will forever point to the Patrick Peterson out-of-bounds play as the turning point of the game.
(Personal note: I used to be frustrated that LSU fan would never stop talking about Peterson's interception, but now I have come to enjoy the gooey, melty goodness which it has caused to ensue on an almost daily basis on this website.)

2010 - Leslie eats grass!
Yep...Les ate grass, called a 4th and 1 reverse, and LSU rallied from 2 second half deficits to hold onto the lead and topple Bama...knocking Bama out of the SECw race for good.

2011 Regular Season - 9-6
LSU and Bama brought historically good defenses into Bryant Denny, and the battle that ensued was epic...Quite possibly the game of the century. Despite having the more capable offense and outgaining LSU for the game 295 to 239, Bama kept trotting out and obviously-rattled Jeremy Shelley who managed to miss 3 first half FGs and the final dagger in OT. This left LSU in the driver's seat, and Bama was left looking in.

2011 (2012) BCSNCG - LSU: Mulligan Game Bama: 21-0
Dont Tea Bag Me Bro!
After a couple of fortuitous weekends which saw key teams fall, Bama made it back to the BCSNC despite not winning their conference...much to the chagrin of LSU fans.
Bama & LSU brought the same historically good defenses into New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl (defacto home game for LSU) and for most of the game both of those defenses dominated.
Bama's offense was the more agressive on this day and attacked honey badger & pals through the air, putting up 393 yards to LSU's 118. The game was close until late in the game when Trent Richardson finally broke a long TD run...the first TD between the 2 teams in what seemed like 2 years.

2012 - Chavis Heartbreaker
After a missed LSU FG and a terrible second half, AJ McCarron leads his team 72 yards down the field in Death Valley in the final moments of the game. The Drive ended in a TJ Yeldon screen pass which he housed to put the game away 21-17. Bama advances to their 2nd straight BCSNC.

2013 - Tide Dominates
This was the most lopsided game of the series in a quite a while. AJ McCarron threw three touchdown passes, T.J. Yeldon ran for 133 yards and two scores, and the Tide turned to smash-you-in-the-mouth football to take control of a game that was tied early in the third quarter.

2014 - Just another slugfest - another Bama late-game comeback
Despite having only 1 first down in the 2nd half up until the final drive, Alabama drove for a field goal with three seconds left in regulation, then escaped with a win and its playoff hopes still alive. Blake Sims connected with DeAndrew White for the go-ahead touchdown, and the Tide knocked down Anthony Jennings’ fourth-down pass into the end zone to win it.

Saban - 6
Leslie - 3

I think you have a more important rivalry to worry about before that

Didn't JPW run a QB sneak to win it?

JPW, Knowshon, Tebow...

has LSU ever won a game after calling an opposing team's player?

Quit reading after this...

Nick Saban's worst team gave LSU all they could handle, true. But you failed to mention that Les Miles worst team took the undefeated #1 ranked Tide into overtime as well.

Got to give credit where it's due.

Yeah, I didn't think that Alabama/Tennessee game held much importance anymore.

This is what happens when there is yet another watered down Bama/Tennessee matchup.

Ok let's look. Shall we ????????:

Since 2007 - a span of 9 games - SEVEN of them were decided in the final minute, six of those in OT or in the final seconds.

Miles could very easily be 6-3 against saban.

2008 - We led most of the game until the 4th quarter, then had chance to score in OT until Lee's INT.

2012 - Leading 17-14 with the ball on bama 28 with 2 1/2 minutes left, all we needed was one more first down and we kneel 3 times. Instead Miles assumed Alleman was going to make the FG. When he missed, it gave Bama momentum and better field position.
Alabama had 0 first downs and 45 yards total offense in the 2nd half till Chavis decided to play prevent.

2014 - Tied at 10 and with a first and goal inside Bama 10 yard line, a bama DL decided to latch on to Vadal Alexander from the ground, and not let go (which is what y'all do after EVERY fricking tackle).
Alexander tries to pull the bama DL off of him.......................................................................................................... - and GETS CALLED FOR THE PENALTY !!!!!!!
If anything, it should have been offsetting..but this is Bama we're talking about. We settle for a FG.

Then, on bama's tying FG drive, Cooper clearly traps a pass in LSU territory (the slo mo replays and the announcers showed the ball was moving.)
Before Miles gets a chance to throw a challenge flag, the whole Alabama team SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS
down the field in 1 second flat to snap the ball before the challenge flag can be thrown.

That's 3 games right there LSU gave away or the officials gave to y'all.

And on top of all that, the refs and the cheating and the home grown head of officials, the home grown head of scheduling, the home grown replay official in the SECCG, the SEC office homers, etc, we ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSOOOOOOOOOOOO have to put with the most smug, arrogant, assholish group of Skoal Drool pieces of skunk feces on the planet.

Sickening. Why couldn't ala-shame-a have been Atlantis ???????????????????????

I'd say Alabama and Tennessee are not rivals. That's what I get from this thread.

Yes, we beat Tebow in Death Valley in 2007 (the same year he made the phone gesture to the student section).

At least the grown men in our stadium don't weep like little girls when we lose.

And any man who has time to make a post this big and intricate doesn't have a job and doesn't get laid
