Was originally:
Chattanooga
Oklahoma
Kent State
UTEP

Had to replace Oklahoma as a non-conference opponent. Replaced them with NC State last year.

Hilarious considering that NC State and Oklahoma would both give most fans teams who are talking shite in this thread a real run for their money. Vols don't play an easy schedule and never had. We also scheduled OOC as good as anyone.

They beat Tennessee by 2 TDs!
And the "unimpressive" Georgia beat Tennessee by 4 TDs.

Bama fell behind 20-10 at one point to Joe Milton at home in Tuscaloosa. We were down last year but that doesn't change the fact the SEC was weak overall last year with no dominant teams.

Not a good sign the vols couldn’t excel in a down sec year.

Considering we just lost a Heisman contending QB, multiple NFL wideouts and a slew of other top contributors from an already paper thin roster because of Pruitt and his probation, last year we over achieved if anything.

Last year will be a lot like 2021 was for us compared to 2022.

You didn’t consider any of that last year. What was your excuse? We tried to tell you

In short they fell behind by 10 points and still beat you by 14?

But Tennessee fans assured us....no they guaranteed us they would beat us in Knoxville last season and we beat you by 28. That's not dominant?

We lost one game to a team that went to the playoffs. They beat us, don't get me wrong, and kudos to them for that, but it seems odd that you are calling two teams that beat yours by 14 and 28 points not dominant. What does that say about the state of Tennessee football?

Can Tennessee be good? yes. Definitely. But with a first year QB (first year starting) it won't be easy. For you guys to be predicting 10-2 and 11-1 and 12-0...just seems odd.

Scheduling is going to be major factor going forward.

Expect rankings of 10-15 to be completely jumbled up at the conclusion of each regular season as committee throws them all up on a board and compare who they played to be one of main determining factors in who gets the last spots.

That NC State game may be a good early test for the Vols. Every football team needs to get punched in the nose....unlikely the Wolf Pack has much of a punch but it'd be beneficial for the Vols to get bloodied a little bit early in the season....it usually pays off.

Paper thin roster?

247 shows you had 85 scholarship players last year.

Just like Pitt in 2022. The ACC has been giving us some good warm up teams of late to start the season.

That doesn't even make sense. Oklahoma is in big trouble come September 21st. Reality is about to hit you in the face.

NC State is top 25 team. Maybe you should keep up with current events before commenting.

Vols have a real chance of going undefeated.
UTK lost by 42 points to those two teams.
