Braden Montgomery's mom is tearing his arse on Twitter. Her tweets are protected, but she just posted this:

quote:

After everything coming out, we should be thanking Texas. THEY pulled back the curtain on a diabolical man that - me included - thought was a HUGE LOSS. He IS a good coach. But I don't want him near my son. I am embarrassed I believed in him. THANK YOU Longhorns. No hard feelings.

She's not an Aggie and Monty was at A&M for one year. He's going to be a top 10 pick. She has no sour grapes motivation here.

To repeat: Schloss leaving doesn't hurt her or her son. He's about to be a millionaire in about five minutes.

"Diabolical man."

"Embarrassed [she] believed in him."

You'd think that if the head coach of Texas A&M were actively recruiting for Texas among his players and recruits while still being head coach at A&M...

Somebody he was recruiting would have ratted him out. Nobody would think that is appropriate.

Apparently aggies are using people saying they've known about this / heard about this hire for months as ammunition for Texas tampering.

Yet not ONE SINGLE player approached on a burner or recruited to Texas while he was coach at A&M has blown the lid off of that? Not a single one???

Seems like y'all got a great case there, ags

Except for the fact that more evidence is coming in that his coming from TCU was a "John Sharp Special" (Hire a coach whose current employer is about to fire him anyway for off the field issues)

Wow that’s something from Montgomery’s family. Montgomery is a top 10 pick.

She clearly became an Aggie fan.

Lot of "we" and "us" in her Tweets.

She's from MS and her kid's been on campus less than a year. He came to play under Schloss . One would think her loyalty would be with him and not the school where she has no connection other than through her son and therefore Schloss.

Instead, she wants folks to know he's a "diabolical man" she doesn't want "near" her son even though he's about to be a top 10 pick.

Can probably end the thread now.

Didn't he have a former coach on staff or something? Doubt it was "for Schloss."

In fact, haven't other players came out and said things along the lines of they weren't there for Schloss?

Imagine thinking something this desperate and soft from a random private twitter mom, who probably knows very little about the entire situation, is some kind of mic drop

The jokes really write themselves with you losers lol

You just took a single screen shot of an anonymous post on a message board, and believe it is a large enough sample size to be indicative of an entire population.

But we’re unhinged.

Tell Texas that you and your agent will talk to them after the season is over rather than actively negotiating while your current team is on a national championship run

Considering A&M hired Elko less than 48 hours after Dukes final regular season game, I don't think that argument holds any weight.

It holds weight for any coach, and deflecting doesn't change what happened. There will always be questions about whether he was really invested in seeing his team through to a national championship, and you can bet that other coaches are going to negatively recruit against him because of it. Those living room conversations with mom and dad are going to be interesting.

all you had to do was watch him and listen to him at his 'sip press conference to know that he understood himself what a complete douche he was.

A great coach; and a douche.

"All you had to do was watch him in the press conference after taking a promotion wearing the school colors that I despise. He's a meanie because he likes the school I despise!!!"

Some of you seriously may need psychiatric help after this. You're kicking and screaming like a 6-year-old that knocked over the milk carton

Your entire fanbase is worshipping a player's mom conducting an unhinged rant on twitter and taking it as gospel despite her son choosing to play for the school simply because of who the coach was and the fact that they offered the most money

Ironic post is ironic
