How did he manage to go 21-32 for 338 against OU's elite defensive unit?

Oh so now the rant thinks he's a good qb? And it was 220 so why are you just making shite up?

We said he could run the ball, sure.

OU beat the shite out of auburns OL and QB. You got a softened version and a shell shocked Arnold. Also every stat you throw out there for the Oklahoma game is flat out incorrect. You should be embarrassed.

I think we should have just punted on 1st down so maybe our defense could score more. But then again our punt team is kinda trash too.

Jackson Arnold can run better than he can pass.

A&Ms defense made stopping the run the focal point.

I fondly remember the Jackson Arnold hype after the Baylor game, fun times.

Other than his ability to run the ball, I don’t think anyone was saying anything about his ability to actually throw the ball.

The upgrades we've made at cornerback are all the difference in the world. The last couple of years are the first time since joining the SEC we've had CBs that are equal to the talent of the upper tier teams in this league. They do way more chirping than I like on the field but so be it if they are covering guys like they are, that is a happy trade off.

There were numerous times Auburn receivers were open against the Aggy secondary but Arnold either didn’t see them or didn’t have time to see them. Auburn’s offensive struggles are 60% QB and 40% OL.

287 yards on 68 plays = 4.2 yards per play against OU

177 yards on 57 plays = 3.1 yards per play against A&M

The same number of pass attempts, but 11 fewer rushes. Auburn controlled a lot of the clock by running the ball more against OU, even though they were not successful in doing so..

I think Auburn got frustrated in the OU game, and then subsequently in the A&M game, and somewhat abandoned the run and put their faith in a QB who just isn't very good.

Both defense's played good against Auburn. By the numbers, A&M performed better, but I think Oklahoma played a role there by showing A&M the blueprint to beat them.

Either way, A&M's defense performed better than I expected, and Jackson Arnold proved yet again that he folds under pressure.

I honestly was surprised to see A&M had a defense. It certainly didn't show in the first few games

yeah, we're improving, and have a long way to go in all 3 phases still.

Can’t recall a qb who is willing to lay his body on the line so much and yet who seems so scared at the same time. It’s bizarre.

Part of the problem is that he refuses to throw the ball into tight windows.. or at least that is the way it appears, but at least he has 0 interceptions on the year.

He also does something very similar to Quinn. He puts his head down and tries to run away from the pressure, instead of keeping his eyes downfield trying to find an open receiver. Weigman did the same thing last year. I remember telling my son last year that it was interesting that all 3 were 5 star QB's in Texas, but all 3 had similar problems.

Interesting observation. I know Weigman and Quinn both dealt with injuries the past few years as well.
