If he doesn’t he has failed catastrophically. If competing means making the 12 or extended playoff field LSU ought to be in the field every season with Ed O or Les Miles. The same is true of UGA, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Oklahoma and Texas….all 8 should expect being in the playoff every season. Obviously half or more are not going to be BUT that should be the minimum expectation.

Hopefully but I’ll be fine with not having the snooze fest that BK put on the field.

Bad news incoming for the rest of the SEC

Ehhh...

LSU's 12th, so I'm guessing the expectation is to flip a lot of kids? Not a lot left of uncommitted players left.

At the moment you're behind Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, and Tennessee in the conference and not a ton of depth.

Or are you looking at 2027?

How many incoming coaches have been judged by the class they inherited

You seem like not a total dumbass so please don’t treat me like one

It's insane to think of a football season where Alabama and LSU don't meet in the regular season.

We've been meeting since 1963.

Yeah it will be weird.

Honestly, it's been weird not playing Auburn and Miss St the last 2 years.

Wild times man.

No coach is voluntarily leaving OU, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, or LSU.

Lane has figured out modern college football.

At LSU he will be able to get top coordinators.

He just took a D2 QB and installed him after his starter got hurt and Ole Miss got better.

We all know its true. I hate it, but its the facts.

Maybe we will get a game of the century again soon.

Are you pretending there aren't a ton of fake Alabama fans around here?

Anyway, he exposed himself this past weekend.

I've seen multiple coaches leave Alabama voluntarily.

In fact, it's rare a coach gets fired at Alabama. We've only fired 2 coaches in the past 65 years. 3 if you count Mike Price who never coached a game.

Perkins went back to the NFL.
Curry went to Kentucky
Fran went to A&M

That is true, but that was many years ago. I'm only speaking to the current environment.

Bit of a bummer for me. I have an attachment to all the western division opponents & don’t love having to rotate them out.
