The Sunday trailer park melts are great. The TV is broken, your cousin wife is at the neighbors with a black eye and you’re debating if you should buy a new tv first or wait for one to go on sale. Not if the defense doesn’t clean a few things up and learn to adjust.
In the past, a loss in the first half of the season was usually the best thing that could happen to Alabama. It lit a fire under them.
We will see if Deboer can use it to his advantage like Saban usually did.
My expectation before the season was exactly the same as Vegas’, 9.5 wins. Since you can’t win half a game, I think that Bama still goes 10-2. But 9-3 wouldn’t be too much of a disappointment. I think that the days of expecting to go undefeated are largely over for everyone.

We heard the same thing when Alabama lost to Stephen Garcia, and Hugh Freeze - twice, and Texas A&M - twice, and LSU multiple times, and Auburn multiple times - hey remember the kick six and camback,, and Tennessee… and still Alabama is the team everyone wants to see lose.

I kind of doubt it, and I said pre seaon that in the first yr 9-3 would be reasonably good. If the defense doesn't improve, though, 9 wins will be difficult.

Those were all solid teams with talent, and a a few of them were fluky type wins.
That's not the same as getting dominated from start to finish by frickin Vanderbilt.
