Mathieu could stay at the school and pay tuition, but Alleva said that was unrealistic.

This is actually an interesting comment - if he were able to pay for school would he be allowed to play after serving some suspension?

It would be a gamble for him - but would he be allowed to borrow money to float his tuition for the year and then go to the draft? Even if he were a late round pick he would be able to pay back the cost of tuition and room/board and this would seem like a better way for him to get noticed and drafted than dropping to a school no one ever watches on television

but he wasn't even planning on kicking Jenkins off the team. He wanted to only suspend him 5 games.

He was kicked off the team 3 days after his last arrest.

You're kidding right? As I stated in the sticky thread: What's funny about this situation is that enforcing team rules at LSU is apparently breaking news while Richt enforces UGA team rules routinely with little or no fanfare.

No he doesn't. You're sadly mistaken if you think this was Les' call.

Nah, it was his first arrest, underage possession, but the proverbial final straw was the he wasnt up front about it and lied to Richt about it

Get off your high horse man. UGA covers up the same amount of shite in their athletic program as the rest of the universities.

Miles had a say...does he honor the committment to the player...or free up a scholie?

LSU's official drug policy. First positive test: No suspension. Second: Up to 15 percent of games. Third: One year suspension.

School drug policies have to be followed or risk NCAA sanctions.

So Miles had to sit him for this year...does he wait to see if HB comes back? Does he just cut ties to open space on the team?

Are you saying that Mathieu could still be on the team? If not for Miles' intervention?

it's only a handful.

I don't recognize any of them, so I assume they are standard SEC Rant litter.

It's pretty obvious that Miles was just making scholarship room for Rob Bolden.

Well, yes.

If it was a 3rd failed piss test, CLM could have suspended him for a year instead of kicking him off the team.

Oh, well then that's worse.. Took the easy route when he could have helped the kid. Freed up a scholly real quick. Yeah, big balls there..

Absolutely.

When LSU finishes training him, and when Nick retires, I hope he considers moving east a tad.

I seriously doubt this was only his 3rd violation
