He is literally the only person that has ever won you a natty and you fire him. Pathetic.

I thought Miss St. claims to be a blue blood? If so, they shouldn’t be hiring a first time head coach assistant
Ehhh... I think there may be a mix
With only one piece of hardware it's hard to claim blueblood status. We've been good and good for a long time but mainly when no one else cared other than LSU.
Things have changed now and we definitely have more history and a better pedigree that most teams in the SEC but I wouldn't quite claim blue blood status. We check a lot of boxes though.

I know of an ex hitting coach you can hire. I mean rehire!

Congrats. You all deserve better. Good luck with the new hire.

Interesting timing. I guess with Ole Miss coming to Starkville in a couple of weeks, and a final series at Missouri, they didn't want Lemonis to have a chance to get on a hot streak and make it a tougher decision to justify.

i think last search go-around, before cohen went to auburn, auburn signed butch to a long-term extension to prevent exactly this scenario. they proactively nipped that quickly.

Lemon isn't bigger than the State baseball program. We will not tolerate 4 years of dogshit results for the sake of "thankfulness." What a cuck thing to say.

I'm sure they will come after Butch Thompson for the 3rd time.

Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize Missy State was big and bad now. Good luck on natty #2.

Cannizaro is available from what I hear.

Why would they not hire Auburn or Kentucky coach. State is a much better job than either one of those places. Both those coaches have been great and have tons of SEC experience. Seems obvious

Oh the irony. Check out this new money bitch.
