Only because it's surprising they never began the season at #1.

Still an incredible accomplishment

Sad considering how dominant UF was for the two decades prior.

Also an incredible accomplishment

Damn that's a long time.

Probably the longest drought of any program that is considered to be a traditional top 20 caliber program.

Your best fricking year as an MSU fan was only good enough to get Mark Richt fired at UGA. Suck a dick, bitch.

Obviously. Bama's had 2 separate dynasties under potential GOAT coaches.

Surprising, in that LSU must have made up a lot of ground from the Spurrier days.

Tennessee 19 weeks, 17th
That's really surprising. I know they suck now, but they were the second best SEC team for a long time. I'd have thought they would have had more, just from their history.

Tennessee's glory days were in the 40s and 50s. They were great again in the 90s, but usually lost to Florida

AP says it never happened.
That's what happens when you tie a 6-4-1 UNC team and beat a 24th ranked team in your bowl game.

Titles and weeks ranked can be funny, and don't go together as much as you think.

How many weeks was LSU ranked #1 in 2011? How about Florida in 2006?
