while I don't think 2019 is the goat, I do think they are the best of that group.

The advanced analytics have the top 3 teams as 2020 Bama, 2019 LSU and 2025 IU.
Most of the teams listed couldn’t slow down the offenses for Bama or LSU and didn’t have the ability to score enough points to keep up and only IU was sound enough to have a shot for the lower scoring teams.
Your head to head matchups are almost all incorrect based on the models as well.

2021 Alabama beat 2021 Georgia and had a lead in the 4th quarter of the national title game. A great defense but when healthy Alabama hung 41 on them.
2020 Alabama beats them.
2020 Alabama beats them.

I think LSU beats Clemson by 10 then loses to Georgia next round...but hard to argue with anything else.

I would have either LSU or Indiana at top.

I would flip literally every game in the first round that you have.

Why’d you think this?

Well we know Tennessee fans won't be arguing.....

Clemson was a talented team but it’s so clear they were stealing signals I don’t want to put them in the same class as the other teams being mentioned.
FEI:
Bama: 1.54 (low due to fewer games)
LSU: 1.7
IU: 1.86
Clemson: 1.47
QB: TF Lawrence (4th behind Burrow/Jones/Mendoza)
RB: Etienne 2nd (behind Najee, ahead of the others)
WR: 3rd (LSU>Bama>>>>Clemson>IU)
If you want them included in that group fine but they absolutely deserve an asterisks as LSU proved the following year.

I would prob not put Lawrence behind Mendonza..thw other 2 yes.

In 2018 he was a TF, he wasn’t anywhere close to what he became later in his career.
2019 Burrow > 2020 Mac > 2025 Mendoza > 2018 Lawrence
2019 Burrow > 2020 Mac > 2025 Mendoza > 2018 Lawrence

Nah. If there was ever an offseason Chicken thread, this is it, plain as day.

2022 Georgia would have wiped the floor with 2023 Michigan. If you didn't have an explosive passing game with multiple elite WRs, you weren't moving the ball on Georgia in 2021 or 2022.
