Stan is bitching he doesn't want officials determining the outcome of games. Well you know what, Stan, I totally agree. And there were definitely some calls in that game that went against both teams that were questionable.
But to suggest that the last PI call shouldn't have been made is totally hypocritical and rather fallacious. Using your own logic, Stan, if that call is NOT made, it helps determine the outcome of the game. It was not a ticky-tack call that could have been overlooked. The Auburn player is clearly holding the LSU receiver's arm down so that he can't make a play on the ball. It's PI all day long in every stadium in the country. He prevented the LSU player from catching the ball by interfering with his ability to get his hands on the ball.
So while the officials may have been too involved in the game, which is definitely something that could be debated, the fact that they made the correct call in that situation and it was a call that should have been made, doesn't support your argument. How about when Stan and Rob spend at least 30 seconds stating how with the rules now, you can't launch yourself over the line of scrimmage to block the upcoming FG attempt, yet that is exactly what Auburn does if you watch the replay. The bottom line is while most can agree the officials were a little flag happy in Jordan Hare Saturday and most will also agree that there were bad and missed calls either way, it's rather disingenuous to sit there and choose one or two calls that appear very much to be correctly made to complain about them determining the outcome of the game.
Short version: Stan is a whiny bitch homer unrivaled on SEC broadcast teams.

It cracks me up when people say “ you can’t call that with the game on the line”. Well that’s bulkshit if he’s commiting an obvious foul that is keeping LSU from moving the ball. That’s actually when it is CRITICAL to make the right call. For once LSU didn’t get screwed by the refs I love it!

Stan White fact check....
“ almost 200 yds in penalties”
Fact- 9 for 111
“LSU almost 100 yds”
Fact- 9-91
*** the play by play guy later qualified it as 111, but still come in Stan!!!
9-111 to 9-91 seems pretty balanced to me.

They melt for sure. I cut them some slack they are homers and for the second straight year LSU is coming back late to break their hearts.

How do Auburn fans listen to these two idiots?

I don’t ever wanna hear those words uttered from an Auburn football fan again.
After 2004 and 2006, keep that thought to yourself, Aubie.

Pretty much this for me. I love listening to Stan- just so fricking over the top. But if I were an Auburn fan I can’t imagine anything more stressful than listening to that guy call a close game.

Maybe they will do like the “kick 6” and paint the footprints of LSU’s kicker on the field.

Tired of hearing about this "no fumble" shite.
quote:no one "recovered" the fumble. the refs blew the whistle before anyone had possession. there's no way to tell what the refs would have seen in the scrum. there definitely were a couple of defenders there who might have been able to get it. yes, davis handed the ball to the ref but that was after the whistle had sounded and the lsu players abandoned the play
Auburn recovered it even if it was a fumble.
of course, this is all missing the point. the play was fubar all the way.
the refs missed the fumble.
that caused them to blow the play dead prematurely.
then, inexplicably, there was no review. even after lsu took a timeout. SHADY
quote:get the call right and lsu has the ball with a chance to race out to an early lead
The no call was meaningless
