Lane should be able to attract some big name assistants with that money allocated to his staff

I’m interested to see what Kiffin can do at OM. At the very least, it should be entertaining.

Wonder if he’ll bring Monty’s 90 year old arse with him as DC?

What names are floating around for Lane’s staff? I’m guessing he will go after Frank Wilson.
There’s some backchannel rumblings that Kiffin wants VOLS RB coach David Johnson and his Memphis ties

Early names are Randy Shannon, Charlie Strong, or keeping Mike Macintyre. We'll see.

I should have gone into coaching.

Probably could have gotten an interview for the Arkansas job, at least.

Look at his staff from people he has already worked with:
RB: Frank Wilson would be an easy get, since he was fired last week and has such a history in Mississippi, already.
OC: Does he make a run at Chaney for his OC. I'm assuming that he wouldn't bring Charlie Weis Jr with him? Maybe he makes a run at Eddie Gran...but he has also been talked about the HC opening at FAU that Kiffin left.
DC: I'm guessing Lance Thompson moves with him as the DC, but maybe not. Does he try to swipe Peter Sirmon from Cal, instead?
DB: Does he go after Willie Mack Garza?
OL: Does he make a run after James Cregg since he was with him at Oakland, UT and USC?
TE/WR: Does he goe after David Reaves at USF?

The rest on your list can kick rocks

That will net out after taxes to around $200k per month deposited in his bank account. That will buy a few nice dinners at Chancellor's Grill.

Offensive position coaches mentioned - Charlie Weiss Jr, Derrick Nix (current RB coach), Frank Wilson, FSU Oline coach Randy Clements
OC- UCF OC Jeff Lebby, Kendal Briles
Defensive position coaches -
Freddie Roach (already on staff) (I know I’m missing some)
DC - Mike MacIntyre, Charlie Strong, Randy Shannon

Frank Wilson, Charlie Weis Jr., and Lance Thompson are the only ones on that list I think are possibilities, but I think Briles will get the FAU job. If Briles doesn't get the FAU job and they go with Gran, Briles could be at OC. But right now, Lebby from UCF is the top name for OC.

Easy get? LSU and Frank have been negotiating a return for weeks/months. Our insiders have said it is close to a done deal at this point.
We'll pay him ludicrous money to coach RBs and recruit and live in his home state, where he is a god in New Orleans HS football.

That’s true. But we would probably his fall back if that didn’t work out for some reason. I’m sure Kiffin has contacted him.
