The Rebels head coach wasn’t thrilled with his team after the loss, and he was very confused by how Ole Miss fans acted after the game.

“I just told the players don’t be happy,” Kiffin said. “Fans were (giving) a standing ovation while we were walking off, and I was very confused with that. You know, we lost. Not that I don’t appreciate the fans doing that, but make sure the players understand we came here to win. We didn’t come here to play close and cover spreads or any of that crap. I told them they have tomorrow off and they’ve got to come back to work. We’ve got to get better.

It's weird having a coach talk like this after a game, but I fricking love it. This is exactly the type of attitude it takes to build a winning program and this is almost certainly an attitude he picked up from Saban.

I hope LSU hires him after we get rid of Orgeron in year or 2

I wish he would have been given the opportunity to come back to Knoxville.

Noticed that post game vs UF as well. He looked pissed. He looked pissed vs Bama too. That dude fully expects to win every game. I campaigned for a long time to get him to Florida. Now, I'm very happy with Mullen, but this guy is going to do work. He was young at Tenn and USC and cocky. Saban taught him the right way to do things.

Aggie did this after Clemson snuck by A&M in Kyle Field. Jimbo ate it up though

Kiffin has turned out to be a really good coach, and not just a pest or a one trick pony, but a really good all around coach. I would have never thought that 10 years ago.

Somebody has to get him out of Oxford before he’s pushing 300lbs

And that is why Kiffin will do great at Ole Miss. He’s changing the culture. If he stays 3-4 years I can see OM winning the SEC West at least once.

Exactly. Lane is Bama’s coach after Saban retires.

Keep him out of trouble, he'll be our next HC at AU. Don't let him make any pine box statements either

I think he doesn’t want to be seen as that guys that jumps around. He did it at Tenn. I think he will be at least 5 years in Oxford. At that point he would have OM rolling. Why would he go to a rebuild at LSU? Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ohio St, yeah maybe. Not LSU.

He wouldn’t have to “rebuild”. LSU has won 3 national championships with 3 different coaches in span of 17 years. Lane could do the same at LSU easily with his offense if he hired good defensive coaches. LSU recruits itself so I don’t see it as a rebuild situation at all

He isn’t leaving Arch Manning. Take that to the bank. In 2027 after Arch is a first round pick then yeah, maybe.

Must be refreshing to hear a head coach speak as bluntly as that. I wouldn't know.
