Only one time do I recall the headsets going out at Bryant-Denny…UT 2009.
Lane claimed their headsets weren’t working properly, so it forced both teams to go without headsets. UT won the toss and deferred to the second half. UA OC/playcaller Jim McElwein was forced to watch from the press box and wasn’t allowed to communicate down. Alabama went 3 & Out.
Lane always knows what he’s doing. Tip of the cap.
