Is this the type of stuff Lane needs to be doing while trying to convince schools that he's mature?
It doesn't bother me in the slightest, but damn, Lane

What I’m getting at here is this mindset that Bama deserves to get in because they’re Bama. I’m calling bs on that this year. Maybe in previous years, but not this year. Bama is not a playoff worthy team, and the fact that we’re even arguing about whether or not they deserve it over a shite-schedule winning Wisconson team is really all the ammo I need for this argument.
Bama has played 4 Top 25 teams. We are 3-1. Our only loss is to #4 Auburn.
Wisconsin has played only 1 Top 25 team. If they lose to OSU, they will be 1-1 vs Top 25.
OSU has lost twice. One of OSU’s losses was to an unranked team by 31 points. This happened in November. They also were beaten at home by 2 touchdowns by another top team.
Miami lost to unranked Pitt last week.
Clemson lost to unranked Syracuse.
Oklahoma lost to unranked Iowa State.
Please, tell me more about how undeserving Alabama is because we lost to #4 Auburn on the road.

Have you investigated Bama’s schedule? It’s not good, man. Barely better that Whisky’s. After Whisky plays Ohio St in the CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP (Bama didn’t even win their division!), the opponents on bama’s and Whisky’s schedules will have nearly identical records. Your argument sucks, and the fact that it’s even debatable the Wisconsin deserves it more than Bama is really all you need to know.
I’ll give credit where credit is due and say that Bama typically deserves to get in. Not this year. They are a good team. Really good if they execute. But they are not a great team this year. Sorry.

And Auburn lost to Clemson (you know, the team who lost to unranked Syracuse?) and a Troy-losing LSU team. I think that’s a wash.

Crazy that Bama only had one game on their schedule to make the schedule look good, and now they're gonna get left out

My argument is based on stone cold facts, sir.
Bama will have played 4 Top 25 teams. Wisconsin will have only played 2. Even with a loss, our current Strength of record is Top 6 in the country. If Wisconsin loses to OSU, their strength of record will not even be in the Top 10, most likely.
Your entire premise is based around the idea that it is impossible for two of the best teams in the country to come from the same division. We know that is untrue.
You have not remotely successfully defended your argument in this thread.

Two ranked teams, and they finished the season beating the #1 ranked team twice in a 3 week stretch. Ohio State lost to unranked Iowa by 31 points in November. At no time in college football history has a national championship contender ever had a loss that bad. Ever.

But everybody knows that Auburn was gonna be the only tough game on the schedule from the beginning.
Not being in the playoffs will give Saban some time to figure out what to do at QB next year

We’ve played 4 Top 25 teams and are 3-1 against those teams. We also played ACC favorite and #3 ranked FSU to open the year. Your statement is silly.

No. Not "barely." Bama's opponents are a combined 79-63, while Wisconsin's are 68-76. Take out FCS Mercer and Bama's opponents are still 74-57.

Ohio State and Urban Meyer changing their tune too from last year... just saying.
In 2016, it doesn't take a conference championship... gets in ahead of conference champion Penn State...
In 2017 with a shot to steal the title from Wisconsin and win a bid to the CFB playoff, it should take a conference championship to qualify.

FSU has glaring weaknesses that nobody wanted to talk about bc they were playing Bama first and everybody wanted to hype it up. And that FSU win means nothing now
Auburn, Miss St., LSU, and FSU are the ones you are talking about? Only one of those are for real, the others have been exposed.

I think it works for him because it plants the subliminal thought that he belongs in the SEC . Add his relationship with O and Smart and Tennessee and it works for him.

According to Sagarin, Alabama’s Strength of Schedule is 54th and Wisconsin’s is 61st. After Saturday, Wisconsin will move up at least 6 spots. The schedules are nearly identical.

Auburn, MSU, LSU, Fresno St. Regardless of whether or not you think they’ve been exposed, we have a Top 6 strength of record in the country. Better than OSU’s, and if Wisconsin loses, it will be better than Wisconsin’s.
The only team Wisconsin has played in the Top 25 is Northwestern.

Strength of record, not strength of schedule. Wisconsin losing isn’t moving them anywhere.
