I haven't seen anyone argue that Wisconsin doesn't deserve to be in over Bama if they finish up undefeated. But if they lose to tOSU? Nope.

Why not? Bama lost to Auburn! Both 2 loss teams. But at least Wisconsin made it to their conference championship game. Bama didn’t. Why do they deserve it over Wisconsin?

I'm not counting on anything. I'm fairly apathetic about making the CFP. With the way we've gameplanned and executed since the bye week, Bama won't beat any of the contenders.
I'm speaking from a general perspective on how the CFP ought to work.

You’re saying Bama deserves to go over Wisconsin if they lose to Ohio St. I’m asking you why? You’re responding with, “Winning a Big 10 Divisional Championship isn’t good enough.” Well, at least they won their division. So, using pretty much every metric, Wisconsin should get in over Bama even if they lose.

I don't know that winning a division is a metric at all. If Bama's loss had been to Tennessee instead of Auburn, Bama would have won the SEC West, but they'd have a loss to the worst team in the conference on their resume. But, if you are going to argue that winning the division is some kind of trump card, a loss to 4-8 UT would have been better than a loss to 10-2 Auburn.

What I’m getting at here is this mindset that Bama deserves to get in because they’re Bama. I’m calling bs on that this year. Maybe in previous years, but not this year. Bama is not a playoff worthy team, and the fact that we’re even arguing about whether or not they deserve it over a shite-schedule winning Wisconson team is really all the ammo I need for this argument.
