Lane Kiffin is vastly overated.

Doesn't mean he isnt a good coach but he isnt this messiah that is going to lead Ole Miss to Sec West titles. They will consistently beat their rival MSU but that will be the high point of what he will bring.

Your fear is evident

I like Kiffin and I think he’ll definitely make Ole Miss better, but he doesn’t have a trail of success behind him or anything.

He’s a huge upgrade over Matt Luke.

I disagree. Davis made him draft Jamarcus and Lane didn’t want him. USC was on probation. Lane was great at Bama with Sims who was trash. He re tooled Bama’s offense in a summer for Hurts. Ole Miss is going to be very competitive in the near future. Saban will retire and Joe Brady will leave us for greener pastures one day. When that day comes Hotty Toddy will have a very real shot at SEC titles.

Agreed but that ain't saying much. I could be wrong though, I was wrong about Orgeron.

He will make the SECW even harder. He will bring back elements of Freeze's Offense and throw in some of his stuff. If he gets a good DC, look out.

He had a converted DB break all the passing records at Bama, at the time. If he can do with Plumlee what he did with Sims, they will immediately be good on offense.

I think it’s a leap in the right direction.

No Ole Miss fans are saying this. Y'all are such whiny bittches about this hire

I dont view this as truth. I think Kiffin is an excellent head coach. I'd love to have him at Auburn.
Maybe Kiffin can show he has grown up, he can get Ole Miss back to a ranked team, then we can hire him if Gus doesnt work out. We have hired their coach before...

Former OM head coach Ed Orgeron had asst Hugh Freeze who became head coach of Ole Miss with asst Matt Luke while Orgeron became asst for Lane Kiffin who got fired & replaced by Orgeron, while Freeze got fired & replaced by Matt Luke who got fired & replaced by Lane Kiffin. In other words they have hired a coach that was replaced by a coach they fired...

It's all about talent and Scheme. Lane Kiffin can get talent and runs a very good offensives scheme.

Best hire they could have possibly made.
He will either win the SEC W, or crash and burn. But at least they are trying to hit the home run and not just going for the safe option like Morehead or Morris.

Good move Ole Miss!
I believe this will stoke the embers of the LSU-Ole Miss rivalry. I feel sorry for my dad’s alma mater, MSU though.
