Please compare Florida’s records to Ole Miss since Kiffin arrived…..yeah Ole Miss is much more a national power than your dumpster fire.

Please make it so. That would be a terrible fit

If I'm Florida, I'm going after Joey or Dabo.

There is also mystery around lanes actual buyout. I’ve heard $12 million

$4million

Gus Malzahn
Crazy Gus is pretty bad. Good Gus can take dirt and turn it into a sculpture. He out coached Saban several times and would always pull out 1-2 games a year by just not quitting. He is an offensive mind thats for sure.

Yea I hope he looks at it that way. I was saying making lists like this are a step up in world for him.

I'm not sure jobs like Florida are as appealing as they once were. NIL, transfer portal, the 20 million to each school to pay players may make it a new ball game. Or it may remain as it has always been.

So where the rest of it then?

The $36 million only says if he’s “fired”.

Please do not move the goal posts and define how Ole Miss is a “national power”.

There was no “comparing” I’m asking how is Ole Miss a national power? Which is what the post stated.

You gotta look outside of the university and program.

- Florida weather is more favorable year round.
- Surrounded by beaches on 3 sides.
- High school talent rich state.
- 2/3 of the biggest schools in the state are down. Being the splash hire could affect things.

Florida, as a state, has a lot more to offer than those of Mississippi and Missouri.

I heard this on a podcast of a former coach that is still in the coaching world. I believe he totaled up his buyout, assistant buyouts, buying out the new coaches contract and part of the new contract for the new cosch.

I’ll have to go back and look. But it’s a fact they would owe him 26 million within 30 days of firing him. So at least 30 million counting assistants. Not to mention buying a new coach. Then you still are going to boosters needing 15-20 million to put together a class to be competitive on the field. It’s not a cheap decision.

Family is what kept Lane in Oxford when Auburn came calling. Not saying it’s the end all be all, but he definitely has reasons outside of football to stay put. And in the current landscape, he has amassed an elite QB, elite WRs, competent O line, Elite D line and competent LBs and DBs. Getting talent isn’t the issue at OM right now.

If it were Bama, UGA, Texas, Ohio St. it would be different. But UF isn’t in that class right now. Ole Miss is probably high 3rd tier in the current landscape. UF is 2nd tier. Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze for him right but. But we will see if that’s the route UF tries. They would be stupid not to try.

i didn't think of the assistants. i wonder how many on kiffin's staff he would go with him elsewhere if he did decide to leave.

are any of them buddy-buddy with him like Mullen and Grantham used to be be? him and hevesy were close, too.
