The LSU contingent can chime in, but doesn’t the governor of Louisiana have an inordinate amount of power when it comes to LSU’s operations, all of LSU’s operations, if he chooses to execute it, sort of a holdover from when Kingfish Long reigned supreme? So while some might view this as meddling, if I’m not mistaken he has every right to do this and can’t nobody stop him.

Why do people think LSU is going to make a "splash hire"?
A lot of LSU fans don't want a "splash hire", they want some "up and comer", the next Dan Lanning or Kirby Smart.
