If Burrow can be a first round pick the year after being no where near draft able, then yes, Trask can be a first round pick.

Kyle Pitts will be as well, but that's not going out on a limb to the same extent.
Dude GTFO with that stupidity

Why is it stupid?
People are throwing around Jamie Newmann and Kellen Mond around as first-round picks. Trask is significantly better than both.

Considering how much nfl teams reach for Quarterbacks I can buy this. Trask is good, he impressed me last year as an LSU fan, dude showed some athleticism and next level potential most definitely.

Likely not a first round pick. 3rd round at best.

Franks, 6th round pick to 49ers
Trask, 1st round pick to Patriots

He better have more than one good game to even be drafted. No chance he goes first two days
Posted on 5/1/20 at 1:45 pm to GatorsGators
If you're going to say Mond is a borderline first day pick just bc of measurables, you might as well pick Franks lmao

Trask is the best returning QB in the SEC because it is a down-year for SEC QBs. He is no first-round pick.

That was the only play Stingley made all game. Easily the worst game Stingley had last year.

Late 2nd or 3rd round imo.

I'm not prepared to say that yet. But I will say that anyone who still doubts Merlin's ability to coach up a Quarterback and find a way to coax offensive production out of an offense is an idiot.
The guy spent years making chicken salad out of chicken sh!t in Starkpatch. When we would call for Miles' head or his seat would get hot, I always listed Mullen as a guy that I thought would be a fantastic hire to run a major program that had access to a natural recruiting area of skill position types like LA/MS/FL.
You could watch he and Aranda battle back and forth and it was amazing. Same when we had Chief and those elite defenses he fielded in the early 2010's. They played cat and mouse and even with clearly inferior talent he found a way to be productive a lot of the time. Not just with Dak.
Trask is a guy that a lot of folk didn't have tape on last year. Conversely, he didn't have a lot of time at the helm of the first string position through Spring, Fall, Offseason workouts, etc.
But this year is going to be different. Not sure we can really say this is a normal year because of what's going on and the way it impacted Spring, offseason S&C programs, offseason workouts and then leading up to Fall Camp perhaps as well.
But if all things are normal? I don't bet against Merlins getting a QB and an offense to be productive. He's too good and has done it in this League for too long. Anyone who disagrees is dumb.
