Out of curiosity what was his "Star" ranking out of high school? A 5-star also?

Not surprising. He has been out for a long time due to medical reasons, and it was thought at one point he wouldn't be able to play football again. By not being able to do anything, he obviously got passed on the depth chart. I wish him well, it's probably a good thing for him to get a fresh start after everything he has dealt with.

He's crazy athletic. Not sure it all translates on to the football field though.

I think he was a 6 star recruit IIRC.

If a kid's buried on the depth chart and there's little or no chance of them seeing any PT, is it wrong to sit down and speak frankly with him? Hell,IMO, you're not being fair to him if you don't. If he wants to stay under those conditions,that's fine, but most competitive people will want to go some where to be able to compete....just makes sense.
