The Gumps think they should be #1 after beating two unranked teams despite losing the first game to a team that won just two games last season. They were wanting to fire Karen just a couple of weeks ago but now are back to beating NFL teams.

He had Clemson as preseason #1. Hanging onto that fantasy by keeping LSU high.

Makes no sense after Week 3. It’s clear LSU is at best #4 in the SEC alone. And behind Oregon, Miami, Ohio St, maybe FSU

Nothing is “clear” yet. The season has just begun. This will get a lot clearer over the next couple of weeks.

WTF is this. OSU players and coaches are perfectly used to being a top team annually.

Do people think being #3 is so different than #1 in September? Only rankings that matter come out in December to make the playoff, and January on who wins the playoff

Miami does.

Miami clowned the team who beat UF at UF by 30 last weekend, and beat ND

When they beat UF by 20+ this weekend you'll have to say they look better than almost everyone.

I'm an OSU fan, but I can see that Miami looks really good (so far)

With the exception of Saban, the whole ESPN crew is unbearable.

You had a young team with a new QB, in your house, that you have lost 8 or 9 straight to, and couldn’t seal the deal….go stroke out somewhere else

Miami finally has a competent defense, and Beck has made a huge impact.

Frankly surprised he didn’t include Oregon

I would have had Oregon instead of PSU. But the rest no issue at the moment. PSU is for tv ratings and nothing more. That will change in 2 weeks when they host Oregon.

Luckily, LSU could have hung more on UF, but they took a knee inside the 5 at the end there.

I’m not convinced they would have scored.

Penn State won 2 Playoff Games last year and lost by 3 to Notre Dame in the Semi's, after ND beat Georgia.
I wouldn't call that spitting the bit.

Penn State beat SMU and Boise State. Hooray! Two teams that shouldn't even have been in the playoffs. Probably will end up being the easiest bracket in history.

We are Greece.

What does Alabama have going for it? Bland food, Mercedes Karens, and hounds tooth scarves?

Sounds fun.

Trying to take pressure off of Ohio St.

Even he doesn’t believe this list.

If he had OSU #1 you would say he is an OSU homer.
He has them #3 you say it's because he's trying to take the pressure off of OSU.

The next 3 games are going to be very interesting for LSU. Mobile QBs with elite downfield threats completely destroy the coverage they run(see Bama with Milroe). And Vandy's system is going to be a nightmare for them to defend as well, honestly it is for everyone. The shite's basically the wishbone out of the shotgun with a 4th option tight end running option routes that's 100% on the same page with the QB. I guess we'll finally get to see what LSU's real offense, 4-5 WR sets, looks like over the next month
