No way Kirby leaves for the NFL after building UGA to what they are right now.
No recruiting, no NIL nonsense, team hires people to keep young players out of trouble, real off-season to take longer vacays. Why not?

Perfect time to make the jump. Divisions are gone, not going to have 2 months to tune up anymore. Go try his hand in the league, and would for sure be able to get a job if he wanted to go back to college. Every college coach thinks they can make it in the pros

Saban couldn’t even do that

Why did Kirby and Georgia decide not to go ahead and secure the 3-Peat as Georgia fans claimed was a lock all season long?

Why the sudden change of plans? Was this a case of the Coach/Team and the fans not communicating with each other about their mutual goals?

It's great that Kirby is, at least, thinking about it.

I don’t think Nick Saban really made a mistake leaving LSU for the NFL. He ends up landing at Bama and has never looked back.

agree. College football is becoming a watered down version of minor league football with the conference realignments.

Kirby won’t have to worry about recruiting, only drafting. The Falcons can ditch Art Smith, he sucks.

The Atlanta NFL franchise should be banished from the league. Every person associated with Falcons management should kicked out of football forever.

Kirby should sue the source of these scurrilous rumors for defamation.

True UGA fans hate the Falcons as much as they hate the AJC.

Most coaches in the NFL are at the mercy of the owner and the GM. Coaches get input on the players they want but in most cases it’s the GM and owners that sign the players. If the owners don’t want to pay top dollar or the GM wants to draft or sign a different free agents than the coach then the coach has to live with it. Very few coaches get to be both coach and GM in the NFL. Kirby would still be better off in college where he builds the team.

Ball can touch the ground it just can’t aid in the catch. The ball never moves. Find a better excuse.

He's probably just depressed that he didn't get the Aggie job so can't bring himself to coach another college team.

Agreed. Laughable.

He will be coaching and winning natty’s at Bama for at least 12 more years.

Anyone who thinks the Falcons are going to spend any money and hire anyone of any quality is either delusional or trolling. Kirby may wind up in the NFL but it won't be Atlanta...Atlanta has no need to make the Falcons any better than they are. The team is making money as fast as it can be printed and its value is skyrocketing...

Don’t believe it. I know lots of UGA fans are also Falcons fans so this will be half insult and half praise but, why on earth would he leave riches for poverty?

The Falcons valuation has, since the early 2000s, bettered the NFL average by about 80% per year. The Falcons do not have any need to put a competitive team on the field to make a pile of money. They have never done it, they ain't going to start now.

1. Arthur Smith is not getting fired. (If you see Arthur Blank on the sidelines, you can put him on the hot seat, he isn’t close now)
2. Kirby wouldn’t take a 65% pay cut.

The Falcons were leading the NFC south 2 weeks ago. Leading the NFL south is like kissing your sister but it is still the first goal every season. Smith and going nowhere...the Falcons are as competitive as they ever have been in their history with a few notable outliers. The Falcons are, at best, a .500 team year in and year out...they are making money fast as it is printed and the franchise valuation outpaces the NFL avergae substantially every year. They have the perfect recipe for success that matters...making money.
