Whatever works for him.

If he quits, it won't be because of that and we all know it. The NIL and Portal are the real reasons.
I think a lot of coaches are ready to tap out because of this shite. Ridiculous that the coaches have to deal with the portal in the middle of prepping for the playoffs.

This post is complete horse merde but I think moving forward coaches aren’t going to keep doing it until their 60s and 70s anymore.

What else would he do? He is still young.
the OP is made up BS, but I could think of plenty of things to do with his money at 50 years old.

Hearing something similar here in Macon this AM. Can’t blame any coach walking from this garbage fire of a system.

You gotta be a real piece of shite to troll because someone lost a loved one.

Speaking in general, coaching in the NFL seems much more attractive than college these days. It used to be people would say a college coach wouldn't want to have to work with millionaire players...well, that excuse is out the window. Until they find some common sense in the college game, the NFL is much more stable...IF there's an opportunity...only 32 positions...and if you're stuck in the misery of current college football, I guess ridiculous multimillion dollar buyout clauses help you sleep well no matter how shitty you are at your job.

I’m hearing he wants to honor his father and is more focused than ever on coaching Georgia.
All rumors, of course.

sounds like a ploy to get a raise

Having to 24/7 placate 16 year old idiots who think they're God's gift to CFB has to be exhausting. Putting on shows with helicopters and "you're what I need to win" etc.
Anyone who is consistently good at it - like Kirby - is wired differently, so I assume they're less bothered by it than us normal people. But I can certainly understand if he decides he doesn't want to live the next decade of his life this way.

Based on what I have heard around Athens during the past few days, Kirby is on a mission to put together another "ELITE" team.
The former track and field setup next to Butts-Mehre is going to become an additional part of the football complex. Track and Field will have their own new setup out by the golf course on s. Milledge.
Kirby commented the other day about the "culture" that has been created.
So if anyone wants to start an accurate rumor, it should include the perspective that Kirby is set on continuing to push for excellence.

He’s too young to do this. Would be very surprising. Saban didn’t surprise me at all. I’m old and know how this works. He would need something to do for the next 10-15 years to keep him busy.

What a tough week for him. He has done great things in Athens. Deserves to make whatever decision he wants.

Maybe 2018 or 2019 looking back!
Kirby is probably the best coach in the country. I would love to have him back at Lsu.
