You should root for Bama

Georgia fans are so touchy. It is one of our defects.

You can't even criticize the man without provoking the rage of fellow Dawg fans. Never did I say that Kirby wasn't a good coach, and I wasn't "bitching." But he isn't perfect.

Like the fact that not one senior was drafted off the team he inherited and the only Junior drafted was KR in the 6th round?

Yet they still got to the national championship in Kirby's second season.

Really shitty program he inherited there.

Kirby had nothing to do with this.

We were discussing the quality of program he inherited.

RD Dawg keeps trying to convince us that Kirby got a shite roster.

You said it.

Where else do fans bitch about not going undefeated 3 straight years?

Ohio State? Alabama?

He definitely didn't get a shite roster but the senior class he inherited was not up to par. The junior class was stacked though.

Not trying to convince anybody of anything just laying out the facts for you and never once said he inherited a shite roster.

But I can always count on you to crawl out from under your rock every time there's a thread trashing UGA and or Kirby.

He’s got us in the hunt the last three years. When that stops happening more often than not he will be replaced.

This is the right answer...when does Auburn stop giving Malzahn contract extensions for 8/9 win seasons ?

Kirby has been impressive, I never said he wasn't. I was just pointing out a weak point as a coach, a point which happens to be Mullen's strong suit. Saban has the same problem, which is why he looks human against teams of equal talent. That's ok no one is perfect.

Stop misrepresenting my point. I wasn't complaining about the losses, I was using them as evidence of his occasional difficulty in game day coaching.

Explain this in light of last years head to head matchup. Mullen failed to properly prepare his team. And made questionable decisions that secured the win for UGA. When has Mullen demonstrated he was a better game day coach?

So Kirby inherited a solid roster of SO, RSSO, JR, and RSJRs but not SRs. Talent isn’t the issue at UGA it’s a cheap AD and the wrong mindset

You must not get around much because I trash Aggie and Bama much more than Georgia.

Game planning?

Once again I'll point to the '19 game and or his loss to GT or his loss to Mizzou in '18.

Saban can X and O with best of them.

So who exactly is your ideal coach?

However, I think he may have difficulty getting high ranked recruits to "buy in" judging by the number of players sitting out the last two bowl games.

The bowls mean different things now due in large part to the playoffs. Fournette was one of the first guys to start this new trend of nfl guys not caring about bowls.

Vince Lombardi, but until he is raised from the dead, I will settle for the third or fourth best coach in college football, who has done a very good job.

Now, RD Dawg, please put away your Kirby Smart hating straw man. There is no need to white knight for Smart against a person who is happy to have him as our coach just for admitting that he has an imperfection.

He didn't inherite many redshirts but the '14,'15 and '16 classes were solid and he got to the NC game in year 2.
I'd say that's a damn good accomplishment for a 1st time HC.

It isn't now but it was certainly an issue the 2nd half of CMR's career

You’ve got a forum. Tell me about some specific times you found Mullen’s game day coaching so impressive? You claimed it’s a strength for Mullen, shouldn’t be difficult. Here I thought Mullen was known as a guy who does well developing low ranked players. He’s also got a reputation for never winning the “big game”,
